This might sound like an extremely basic question, but I have no idea how to fix it.
When I group parts, it won’t let me move the model horizontally or vertically, only diagonally. How can I keep it to just horizontal and vertical movements?

If I’m not wrong yes. I prefer using F3X it might help you!
Use the shortcut CTRL + L to change the arrows face global directions, rather than the local directions to the part.
