Need help with saving file, but not publishing

So I got my handy recovery file which I want to save to roblox, but not publish.
Here is a picture of what I mean:

I can’t press Save to Roblox since it is a file. But I can do Publish to Roblox, which I do not want to do as it would publish the game and release an unfinished update. So, how do I do this? Thank you.

Note: I tried dragging the file into roblox studio but it opened a new roblox studio which does not bring me anywhere.

Note 2: I am on a Mac computer, not a Windows.

2 options.
You can publish the game to a small game, then be able to store your scripts there, then when ready republish it to the main game.

Also, just save it as a file.

Save to Roblox is supposed to save the place to the cloud, to a server so you can access it from any other computer. I hope I’m not wrong.

Can’t you just publish it to a test game, just for you personal use so you can test updates and stuff.

You do have the option to save your recovery file anywhere else. Upload it to Google Drive maybe, or send it via an e-mail. If you’re always on the same computer, and don’t risk getting that computer broken, just save them locally, have a folder of backups

What if I have other people working on the game? Will they be able to access the file?

So I could publish it to a separate game, and then work on it from there? I have multiple side games like:

  • Main Game - Ghirardelli Factory Tycoon
  • Testing Game - GFT Private Testing
  • Beta Testing - GFT Beta Testing

No. You have to publish it to a new game then enable team create and invite them. Essentially a testing server.

Probably gonna end up publishing it to GFT Beta Testing or something.

Here, I would recommend publishing the game, and then going back and try saving the file. I’ve had an issue like this occur with my Studio client to.
