I’m making a semi-serious RP group similarly to how SCPFs operate, however I want it to be more open and inviting, instead of requiring applications to play, and without all of the hostility. Players can play on a few base teams for free, and earn better equipment and permissions by joining the respective group and ranking up.
My idea is a corporation based around medical research, more specifically Hematology and Hematophagy which are the studies of blood and blood feeders respectively.
While i’ve decided on having a few base teams, i’m unsure of what I want “researchers” to do, other than just throw people into monster cells. I don’t plan on having test subjects, rather civilians who want to donate blood to the research company for extra cash.
Gameplay
The main mechanic of the game is going to be a task system, where players complete tasks to keep the facility afloat. These tasks are counted globally, so all players are working towards the same goal of ensuring the facility has funds. At the end of every week, the number of completed tasks are counted and wiped clean for the next week. Depending on the number of tasks completed, certain status effects and events may take place which can be both positive or negative. This can include things such as less fuel for the generators, or more ammo given to security, etc.
Your Help
I’m unsure of what teams and tasks I want in the game. I’ll need basics such as researchers, maintenance, and security, however I feel like the game will be lacking and I can feel the scope creep coming up on me, wanting to add tons of small lore departments such as HR or other roleplay-only teams. The idea of research in roblox games is always hard, and I’m unsure what research mechanics I could add for blood/vampires since I don’t want players just thrown into cells for the lulz.
