Hello, I made my first hair item but there are a few issues I need help with going forward which in my opinion significantly negatively affect my item’s quality.
1- Inside: my biggest mistake starting out was probably to not start using a base so I made one but when adding it to the hair it just feels like I added it as a way to lazily cover up the ends of the curves. is this something that is avoidable? Or is it just something that happens when you don’t start out with a base?
The topology on the underside of the hair also looks kinda chunky and weird if any feedback could be given on that too.
2- Front of hair where the part starts, it looks very choppy and just awkward. How would you make it look less terrible? especially when there’s a part that starts at the front of the head
3- Clipping, how do you avoid it? My hair has a ton of clipping issues, Not sure what the most efficient mean of solving it would be. Manually editing the vertices?
If the way to go about avoiding clipping is to manually edit the vertices, how do you avoid these unnatural distorted texture artifacts in the hair “grain”?
Think that is everything. Thanks in advance for any help!
