Hi, this is a top hat I’ve made and so far i’m confused on how to export and import it into roblox with colour.
Here’s a couple of threads about this subject that may provide a solution for this:
OK so I’m not sure what category to put this under but im assuming its building so sorry if thats wrong.
I wanted to see if I could make something in blender and after watching a youtube tutorial I made this

I then tried to export it as an obj and insert as a mesh into roblox studio but the colours were missing

It’s my first time using blender to make a model and I dont know what I’m doing
(I can colour it in roblox studio but I can only colour the whole thing one colour)
[…
So, I’m trying to export models from blender to roblox studio with color so I don’t have to import them individually, but am unaware of how to do so
I don’t have any screenshots as I accidentally deleted the file, but the issue is that I don’t know how to export models from blender 2.8 with color then import them to roblox with said color
I have tried watching YouTube videos, but none of them turned out to be in blender 2.8
Thanks!
Hi, helpfully here. I am having a bit of an issue. I will model something in blender, export it and stuff. I’ll get a mesh part and import it, but the color doesn’t match, its just gray. How do I make it so the color stays from what I made it in blender to studio? (Btw I’m using Blender 2.79 if that makes any difference)
Don’t mind me haha, I’m new to blender :3

Meet “Brik!”
Brik is a green brik that wants to be imported in roblox studio with the same color it has D

Uh oh
Brik has lost his true color!
Please help me get his green color back!
Waaa!! I did something wrong and it’s my fault! Brik is now just a boring old grey block
Brik also gets sad when I color him green, because it’s not his co…

You have set the colour in blender and u cant do that in roblox soo u have to do UV unwrapping painting then export it as a .png which u then publish it to roblox and then click the mesh and set the textureID to the picture u exported

For something as simple as this it’s really not worth going through the trouble of uv unwrapping and whatnot. Just separate the colored parts and re apply the color once the model is in studio.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole for making textures there are plenty of tutorials. I suggest taking a look at a program called Substance Painter once you’ve become a bit more proficient with Blender.
