Needing some help on a few problems i have with development

Hey, I have been experiencing some problems recently. I have no game ideas to work with. I have thought about hiring someone to do an obby with me, but I realised I don’t have payment. I could do percentage but that has its side effects. Also, hiring someone with percentages can be quite risky as some people might have bad intentions.

My problem is what I just explained, game ideas, and my building skills. my building skills really suck. what could I do? could you guys list simple game ideas you’d play? (I have spent hours looking for game ideas on google, roblox, asking friends, devforum meaning search feature). I stress too much with problems more then usual since the past week.

anything can help. please reply.

If your not the best at building, I think you should take some time to practice your skills. If it still doesnt work out for you, maybe you should try new things like modeling, or gui design for a bit. Then when you’re ready you can always come back to building.

I had the same issue as well for game ideas. I just thought of the first thing that came to my head, and made it some sort of simulator, or a minigame, a tycoon, etc.

my scripting is on a decent level, but for building, bleaurgh. should I just try to make minigames or a small simple game?

A simple minigame with a tiny bit of building could work, but it’s all up to you.

Your first game doesn’t have to be some big masterpiece with beautiful buildings. You can just make something simple for practice, like an obby or a tycoon. Then as you update it or move on to other game ideas your building skills will be improving at least a little bit every time.
