I am trying to negate a selection of parts each with different colour properties, and I want them to retain their colour properties and not have the surface changed to match that of the negate part. I’ve been looking around studio for a bit and I’m not sure how to get around it and I’ve tried switching to legacy CSG and it just doesn’t want to union at all.
CSG V3 introduces this colour painting effect as alot of people refused to use CSG V2 as CSG V1 had this effect, which is beneficial for a lot of modelling techniques. However, despite raising it as an issue in a staff post about CSG V1 being deprecated / CSG V3 being pushed out of beta, they never implemented a setting or toggle to choose whether you want the colour to be painted or not.
Despite CSG V2 being accessible via a “legacy csg” setting in studio settings, CSG V2 is completely broken because of Roblox, and it is impossible to model as it constantly comes up with errors stating it cannot solve the union.
