Reproduction Steps
1- make a part and set its material to neon
2- upload it to Roblox as model
Expected Behaviour
The neon should be rendered as any other part would.
Actual Behaviour
Neon isn’t rendered. When it is positioned in the thumbnail, it causes the location where the neon should be, to be missing:

Reality:
I’ve uploaded two parts in the same model to show only the neon one isn’t being rendered, the plastic one is rendered:
As you can see, in the thumbnail’s preview, the neon does show:
However, upon uploading, only the single face that was plastic was rendered:

Issue Area: Roblox Website Page URL: All model websites, here’s the model link again: Model - Roblox Impact: Moderate-high - I use model thumbnails as item thumbnails. Frequency: Constantly
Pretty sure you’ve got a white Part in the image, on a white background so the image is identical to the one from the preview, the white on white is just hiding.
Its always been like this. I’m not sure why, but my best guess would be the thumbnail system they have doesn’t support special materials, like Neon and Forcefield.
Can confirm this happens to me, but I believe this is just a rendering issue, and has always been like this. Maybe, in the upcoming material changes, they’ll finally fix this.
Have you tried red or orange or whatever colored neons?
