New game idea (is it profitable?)

Hi, I had an idea of a game that would kind of be a mix between Jailbreak and The Streets. The map would kind of have like a poor dense city feeling, and there would be weapons and gun shops and stuff, like in the Streets.

However, I would also expand the map so that you can buy houses, live in apartments, buy cars, work jobs, etc.

The goal of the game, I guess, would be to earn money. Depending on what job you are working, you can earn a certain amount of money to buy the nicest house, or the nicest car, etc. And I would also love to have a trading system, and an inventory system, so players can keep their knives. This will give the weapons values, so that players can trade their weapons and stuff.

Hows the idea? I know its risky to post it on a forum but oh well, I could use some feedback before I start.

I guess it’s profitable. It depends on how you monetize the game as well. You might also want to take in consideration how much players are going to want to spend robux on the game, and if what you’re offering seems of value to them. You might also want to the cost of ads, developers, artists, etc. Unless of course it’s a solo project.

You basically described Bloxburg with police/criminal aspects to the game, not really something new.

I think making a game with the sole intention of profit is usually a bad place to start.

I would begin with an idea you love, and think of how to make THAT profitable rather than start with profit and come up with an idea you love. It’s easy to lose passion on projects that are being made solely for profit.
