For people replying to this saying that its to prevent bots, there are a lot of other ways to do this, such as:
-
Having proper account security
Enabling all account security features can be very hard for botters. This includes:
– Email verified
– Phone verified
– Using google authenticator -
SMS or call verification
Roblox could message you a code each time you would want to upload an asset, or call your phone to verify that you want to upload it.
I completely agree with valiant here, and this is stupid for younger developers who’d like to start early, and people who prefer not to give their personal information to a random company (aka me).

Might be because some features could be buggy so they have been rolled out for enroled beta tester or it has not been fully completed
I have a friend who isn’t ID verified, but has a 2000 audio upload limit. They aren’t even a developer tbh. Me being ID verified limited to 100 ;-;

Yeah I’m actually regretting getting the option, I wish you were able to opt out of this because I’m trying to find engine noises for my car game, and there’s nothing. Really roblox?

roblox is encouraging us to make our own audio instead of going to dollarama and easily finding them there (real)
After trying to use your audio library, I realized that many songs were not in full version (like we only have excerpts 30 to 60 seconds). I liked the fact that the interface has been updated in the studio but the music is still really poor quality (according to my research, the audio may not be so bad…).

what if we could filter out ROBLOX uploaded content? It’s very hard to find audio that fits what I’m looking for. When I search “explosion” with a time filter of 10 seconds, I don’t want the 7 copies of the same explosion sound roblox has uploaded with various time-lengths, I’m looking for a selection of sounds so I can choose the best fit one.
This feature would simply all us to better find audio we’re looking for.

Also it’s important to mention that the searching is currently WAYYYY too general for decent use. When I search “alarm” I don’t want “city ambience” showing up. Also nowadays, if I try searching for some sort of popular SFX (like sounds from memes) It’s IMPOSSIBLE to find them due to the sheer spamming of Roblox-Uploaded content.

Can I somehow disable the new audio discovery, along with it’s new searching system? I’ve been struggling to find specific sounds, the new searching system DOES not help at all.

its search in general, not the new system. it automatically applies an OR to every search term, so searching “bus driving” will give you results with bus or driving anywhere. someone should file a bug report for this, its not the new system
