But then what would be the point of the Roblox Logo being there?
I guess it is just for decoration.
I wish this would roll out fully already. Iâm trying to position a UI element to the right of the menu icon, and in Studio and on mobile I still have the old menu, whereas on the PC client I have the new menu. I have to make adjustments then physically play the game to check the positioning is correct.
Wait the new menu is already out? How did you see the new menu?
Well apparently not completely. This is in Studio:
And in the client (on PC):
Edit:
And apparently this information is inaccurate.
Edit 2: I donât know if the positioning of the icon changes depending on whether top bar was disabled or not, but it looks as though to place anything to the right of the menu and 13+
icon, it needs to be at about 96px.
This is why they should add it to the Roblox beta program, It is very important for us to see this update before other players do.
Hi there,
just a suggestion for the new topbar on Roblox Beta.
Iâd recommend moving the ROBLOX logo a little bit more to the left, it looks as if something is missing or misplaced.
It would be nice for developers to customize where the ROBLOX logo or icons of the topbar go, so they could create their game look correctly without something in the way of their on screen GUI. The inventory button could stay aswell.
Not everyone has it, random playerâs have been given it. (I have it now starting May 2020.)
True, it will help a lot of developers for updating their games, i am curious about what if it was a selectable option between this and the old menu and top bar, so it will avoid issues that are related to Gui or position.
This topbar looks pretty good. It fits the modernised interface and is pretty clean. The cheez-it- I mean, the RĹBLOX logo that brings up the pause menu should probably be a cog/gear icon because people would think thatâs the settings menu since most devices have the settings icon as a cog. I also think the health bar should have your username or an image of your avatar next to it so new players can easily understand that thatâs their health that is being displayed.
As a UI designer, I simply do not like this design. The top grey border always made up for the lack of icons inside the top bar itself. I can only imagine how the borderless design with the lack of icons doesnât look native to all games.
The other problem I have with this rollout is the fact that a lot of UI designers use the top bar as a unique way to build other UIs on top of it since the sleek, transparent grey makes a great background. With the now empty top bar and the lack of buttons a lot of the utility for developers is now gone.
Iâd simply adore the ability to chose what kind of top bar you want in your game via. studio option (between the current design and this one)
Ehh, I donât know about this update. Seems unnecessary, like fixing something that isnât broken. I mean, was there ever any demand to change the topbar?
eh I enjoy the new topbar, but that ROBLOX logo feels out of place.
All the core gui is progressively getting a face-lift. The topbar didnât necessarily need it, but it needed to be redone to fit in with the new interface.
I suggest to put the health bar more longer (not necessarily) and put above it the user name or next to it.
Or⌠Just put always main player username on the top of both leaderboard.
A cool feature would be to have the Roblox Icon half transparent as an optional setting, and when the player hovers their mouse over it, it becomes opaque. That could of course be optional though. The white logo could take eyes away from something important on the screen, which is why the half transparent option would be a good idea in my opinion.
Regardless of itâs sleek and elegant looking design I see no reason for the change and would still prefer the older top bar over this one, it feels like an unnecessary downgrade.
It Looks Modern And Fits Roblox Perfectly
Is there an eta? It says that it would be implemented at the latest late april.
