New Item Configure Page Issues / QoL Changes

Hello!

Recently the way items are configured has changed. This has caused some issues which I would like to raise here. These aren’t bugs as much as they are quality of life changes I would like to see since this new page is actually worse than it had worked previously.

#1: If the item is off sale you cannot change it’s description:

This is an issue for us if we want to update the description prior to publishing. My usecase for this is to ensure the items are searchable before I put them on sale. I shouldn’t have to put the item on sale in order to change its description.

#2: Using the “On Sale” Slider defaults to selecting limited, expected behavior is to have this deselected.

Limited being checked by default could lead to users accidentally uploading their item as a limited item which costs the uploader money. Furthermore, if a user accidentally uploads an item as a limited which they would have preferred to have be a regular UGC item, they aren’t allowed to simply repost it as it will devalue the limited they accidentally uploaded which is frowned upon.

#3 Cancel Changes returns me to my creations in create.roblox.com, expected to return to the original page I edited the item from.

If I hit cancel configuration I expect to return to the page I edited from, not an entirely different page.

Have you had issues with the new item configure page? If so, please add them to this thread.

As someone who owns multiple ugc groups I’ve been having the same problem. This is also affecting my revenue because I wanted to have my item be discounted for the first 24 hours of it being released and I can’t even change the price or edit the page whatsoever. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

The ability to “Save Changes” without “Publishing” is something I would prefer too. I have come across more than one instance of hats having odd names, as I assume publishers had wanted to make changes first.

A warning before confirmation on that would be nice for now.

i think the only person who can change the price is the uploader themself

I would like to add that for #1 for the time being, there is a workaround, but it’s unintuitive. You can toggle on On Sale, uncheck limited, toggle off On Sale, and it’ll suddenly let you update the item (provided it has already passed QA/moderation)

Totally agree, everything became difficult to do. I hope Roblox would do something about it.

I also recently had issues updating my ugc items, game-passes and shirts. (Some features were even removed from the t-shirt configuration page, example the creator’s earning feature)

Thanks for flagging everyone, raising this with the team so they can investigate!
