I’m not sure how easy this is to accomplish, but it would be really nice to have a few more materials that we could use such as:
A smoother slate (for worn stone)
Mortar/plaster (concrete somewhat works for this though it might be nice to have something that’s like concrete and sand combined)
Leaves (currently we use grass which looks fine, but it would be nice to have the option)
Ground/earth
-Finished Wood Planks (similar to planks, but the planks aren’t as obvious like for a polished wood floor)
Glass (similar to ice but more polished looking as opposed to cracked/scratched)
-Marble without a ton of cracks (for a polished look. I often don’t use marble because it’s so cracked it just looks bad especially when the object is small because then the cracks are huge in relation to the objects size.)
It’s not that we need all of these but they would be nice to have (esp. a smoother slate). If you have any other requests please mention them and I will add them to the list.

How would glass be different enough from plastic or smooth plastic to warrant a new material?
Those aren’t cracks, they’re impurities caused by things like sand or chert.
A material I really want to see is large stone bricks, which would be really useful for large masonry structures such as castles.
Is the reason you can’t use textures because you can’t design them yourself, because of any performance impact that might come from textures, or because using 6 textures in every one of your objects is messy? All of those materials sound great – I’m just wondering what the problem behind the lack of them is.
Also, I’m not sure if this is viable or not, but I would really like a built in way to have a “breaking glass” effect, rather than having to use inefficient scripts to do it manually!
