This looks awesome security-wise. Nice! You guys should probably also add email addresses back onto the sign up form as well to compliment this update.

This is pretty cool.
Only downside is there are times when you NEED to access your account and cannot get into your email. In a world of interconnectedness 2FAs are more and more common, and make it harder to get into your stuff in general.
The question is though, will this feature come with the annoying Captchas?

I have no idea how this is gonna help, so basically younger audience have to enter a code? Even if they verify their email, itsās possible they might not know what it means and scare them if they ever log out. Of course, they will run and ask a guardian for help, but wouldnāt this risk accounts also being lost if the guardians themselves might not understand 2SV? In my opinion, this is kinda risky.
But if its only for buying items in the catalog, I consider this a good update to add, as it stops threats and such from happening.

Iām probably asking for too much but will we get any other forms of 2FA like FIDO or Windows Hello in the future?

Will this affect users that donāt have an email linked to their Roblox account? Will new users be required to give their email to sign up for Roblox?
Nice update, please do SMS next. I know a lot of people who would feel more secure with this.
My extent of this was opening the developer app and being logged out, entering my username and password. Must have been a error?

I might remove my Email if this happens. I expect a log-in to be quick and me and my friends switch devices often and have to log out/in. The Captcha already slows us down enough. i dont have the time to check my Email when logging in. I think that the 2 Step Verification should be optional, as it has a negative effect on some users.

This certainly comes at the expense of accessibility for younger audiences using a parental email. So it seems weird that 2FA should be enforced even when it hasnāt been enabled. That being said, it could certainly help with some biting problems with compromised accounts (and maybe hit some legitimate bots unfortunately).
Iām kind of mixed on this change.

I donāt think this will be toggle-able. Roblox will see everyoneās concerns about account security and say that everyone with an email is smart enough to understand account security. I definitely see the inconvenience this may have, but I still doubt you will be able to turn this off.
No. Roblox said they encouraged us to put in our email. They are not forcing people to put there email. IMO this is will be a benefit of putting your email onboard your account since it will make you safer and secure-er.
Yeah, please make this toggle-able and not make it the default. Iād hate for good chunk of my old accounts to get Thanos snapped because I didnāt change the emails in time.

- The 2SV system is flawed. It commonly breaks, responds late or doesnāt send emails at all.
- We need a better verification system, not the forcing of a poorly designed one on players who possibly donāt even know about itās existance. If a child used their parentās email, then that child has to wait for their parents to confirm all this before they can play.
Some people just donāt need 2FA, and a password is enough for them. For the ones of us who do need it, we ask for a better system.

This Is Great. I Activated it as soon as I heard of it. Roblox should spend way more time on the protection of Roblox accounts than other things. Great Job Roblox! 
Hope everyone is doing great. This is gonna give developers motivation to continue developing great games, and being scared of being hacked! Hope roblox makes MORE of this kind of updates.

This can be only 5% positive as a thing, otherwise our accounts get still hacked, Please implement the mobile authenticator app so we donāt have to rely on our emailās 100% of the time.

Yes, what youāre saying is what Iāve wanted for a long time.
Iāve always wanted at least account pins unlocked to trade, distribute group funds, and buy items.
Also, maybe to edit a game, so account hackers canāt edit places and save them to their computer.
Will we get a cool accessory for our avatars, like maybe a backpack with the text āVerifiedā on it, or a hat with that text, maybe even some cool green to black hair? I donāt know. You should maybe add this, as it will prompt more people in to verifying their accounts? Honestly that would be awesome
