Since a few months back we’ve gotten some changes in physics.
This has led to players being able to push other players around.
Not just 0.1 studs, I’m talking 100 studs!
If a player runs into me, then he can push my character infinitly far away.
If I try run into him then Im STILL the one being pushed by him!
The frustration that occurs when you’re running from a brute (powerful mob), just to be pushed back into his arms by some noob idiot who runs in the wrong direction is indescribable.
These physics is frustrating beyond comparison, somebody has to look into this issue!
I still think that Humanoids ought to have an option to disable collisions with other Humanoids. Most (assumption) MMO games do this so players can’t physically irritate other players like they do now.
Lol, that wouldn’t solve my case tho.
It’d end up with a turret of 20 survivors crouching in a corner, firing 9000 bullets per second as soon as a zombie appears XD
True, maybe you could add an advantage or disadvantage system to fighing alone and huddling together, respectively.
I just feel that players even being able to touch each other isn’t very efficient to gameplay, since you can already do things like jump on other players to reach places they shouldn’t be able to. If Humanoids were non-collidable with each other it could also solve the problem with shoving. (but I do see the issue with players physically conglomerating in survival games)
It should indeed.
If you’re driving a car, you should be able to push other players. But pushing around others by simply running into them is just extremely frustrating.
ROBLOX being physically accurate is great at times, but we’ve probably seen an equal number of instances where that behavior is not desirable – we even had CustomPhysicalProperties implemented in light of that. While driving into someone should send them flying, I may want to prevent that from happening in a social game to prevent griefing for instance.
