So the game I’m working on removes most of Roblox’s coreUI to create immersion. Unfortunately this new icon makes it less immersive. I scrolled through the coreGUI boolValues and I couldn’t find anything that matched this new GUI?
Which GUI are you talking about? Is it the chat, or one of the menus? I’m pretty sure you can’t disable the menus, but I might be wrong.
it just popped up today. The cube GUI.
So the cube is simply a replacement for the chat GUI? If so I guess that makes sense.
No. The cube GUI is a simplified menu for a few of the GUIs.
huh. Well hopefully there will be an option to revert it
You should be able to revert it - Check your Studio settings. You can have a fiddle around with your ‘Enroll in Beta Features’ settings if you want to revert it. If it has since been made permanent, you can’t.
I’m having this issue too, when I made the Main Menu UI for my game, it hides the chat, inventory and emotes menu, I went to add a couple thing to the UI and when I opened the menu the one button next to the Roblox icon was there and I don’t know how to disable it
nope. Looks like it’s permanent. It doesn’t take up extra space technally, although since chatting is the only feature in the game I’m working on, it does feel kind of dumb to have a cube as the icon. And in the case where you don’t want any of the GUI features… rip.
So what your saying is there’s no way to remove it?
I am not that knowledgable, but from what I have seen on devforum: It says that the Roblox icon is unremovable, and this new icon doesn’t seem to have a boolValue to turn it off like you normally would with Roblox lesser GUI, which indicates that it acts like the Roblox icon. Dunno if there is supposed to be another way to turn it off. We will just have to see how it plays out.
