The new smooth tool seems to be a regression from the old one in some aspects, specifically when the radius is set small. When using the smooth tool with radius 1-2, it acts similar to erode / subtract. With radius 3+ it acts as intended.
Previously this tool would nicely smooth out small jagged details when set to a 1-2 radius. Now this is no longer possible, and small jagged details have to be removed using the erode tool, and is more cumbersome.

Hello @preacher_online,
We are going to take a look at this issue. In the meantime, could you try using a lower strength and let us know if that helps ?
Hi, at strength 0.1 it does seem to smooth things that are somewhat smooth, however it seems to also be sharpening things
At ~0.3 and above it acts as the original post stated.

We acknowledge that there might be such hard edges in small areas like this. We will continue to improve the look of the terrain system and share more updates later.
