Is this still the case for you? I’ve only heard of one other instance of blank Start Page and suspect a rogue plugin issue.
Still in opt-in Beta for now. We hope to get the play testing and customization UI in, along with some other improvements, and we’ll switch on the Beta auto-enroll (we don’t allow it to be auto-enrolled currently). Assuming that goes well, we’ll be marching towards making it the new default UI within the next 6 months (roughly)
Still plenty of work to do here on these visibility pills. For now, local files have these placeholder thumbnails. (Yes we’ve explored the ability to set thumbnails for local files… it’s not as simple as you’d think it should be!)
We’ve deployed lots of fixes here around caching and the recents stuff. Let me know if you’re still seeing these types of issues.
Pretty sure its fixed now!
Nice work on patching those bugs
Again, any updates on this?
I noticed that the group sorting has changed for worst recently ahaha. It used to be the primary group + somewhat recent groups or something at the top. Now it opens on a group where the latest update to any place was in 2018 (lol). The groups I use are literally mixed in with others at the bottom of my list.
I legit don’t understand why this hasn’t fixed yet: this was reported here as an important regression on the 3rd of October last year.
We changed the group sorting to alphabetical because that was the overwhelming feedback from the community (it seemed “random” otherwise)
We did release the Recents tab as promised in the original thread. We had a couple false starts but it’s been stable for a few weeks now. Why isn’t that working for you?
Because I can’t go in the sub-places.
I can’t expand the Assassin X game in the Recents tab:
While I can in my Group Experiences:
I see. Thanks for more detail!
I’ve asked for Recents to be “true” recents (if you open a sub-place, that sub-place appears in recents) but it’s weirdly more difficult than it sounds so the universe place appears instead.
I would still like to see that happen but maybe we can at least do the sub-place dropdown like we do in the Experiences tab.
Hello, we’ve been getting reports that Nvidia may have fixed the problem with their drivers that was causing the glitched rendering issue. Can you confirm?
I am still experiencing glitches and flickers
Device information:-
Acer Aspire A315-57G
Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5540)
CPU: Intel Core I7 1065G7
GPU:-
Integrated GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics (driver version: 26.20.100.7372)
Discrete GPU: Nvidia Geforce MX330 (driver version: 31.0.15.1640)
Roblox Studio Information:-
Switching the graphics API to Vullcan does indeed fix it.
But there is another issue, the UI in the start page just bounches whenever something is clicked at or whenever you get to the Start page (by opening Studio or closing a place for example).
For your information, the dialogs don’t appear because Xbox Game Bar doesn’t show them for some reason.
This is helpful! Your glitching isn’t nearly as bad as what we’ve seen before where it looks like static all over the screen. Yours looks more like traditional tearing to me. But I’m just a product manager so I’ll run all this by our engineering team.
They asked if you could ensure you’ve got the latest drivers? We’ve seen the original rendering issue go away for all of our internal repro machines when we updated a couple weeks ago.
I’ve just upgraded the graphics driver of the discrete Nvidia MX330 GPU to the latest version (32.0.15.7216) and the issue still persists
So I’ve decided to play a bit with graphics settings and the first thing I’ve tried to do is to toggle on “Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling” and then restarting my laptop for changes to take effect of course. It surprisingly did make it appear way less (flickers and glitches can sometimes appear when switching between tabs very quickly in a constant way and when returning to the Roblox Studio window after it’s minimized or is below another window). I’ve tried to toggle the setting on and off and restarting my laptop a few times just to make sure and the result was consistent. So apparently turning on “Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling” makes it way better for me.
Not saying it completely fixes it for me though, it just makes it way better or to word it better, less severe.
@MeshOfPaul This issue is still happening for me and in an even more severe state
I have recently updated the graphics driver of my discrete Nvidia Geforce MX330 GPU to version 32.0.15.7602 which was released in 12 April 2025 in an effort to try seeing if this fixes the issue but it didn’t. Switching the graphics API to Vulkan still solves the issue for me. Any more information I could try giving to help narrow down this issue? I could send a DxDiag log or create a bug report for this issue if it helps.
DxDiag would be great along with video of the issue you’re seeing. If you can create a bug, that’s the best way because a ticket gets generated automatically that our engineering team will review.
We haven’t spent time on this recently because many of the early reports we received were resolved/stop happening.
Alright then, I will create a bug report with a video, system information and a DxDiag log to hopefully get this issue fixed for me. I am not really sure what’s so unique in my hardware that I am the only one still getting this issue
Thanks again. Yeah I’m sorry it’s still an issue. We spent a ton of time trying to figure out what we could change on our side but it seems to be some wonky combination of drivers. But maybe your latest info will give us some new insights to work with.
I’ve just created a bug report about this issue:-
