New Studio update makes building experience slower

Hi developers,
Yesterday or the day before, a Studio update was pushed out. When I opened Studio, it was updating. However, when it finished, I entered my game and noticed something extremely annoying - my building experience has decreased by a lot.

I’m not sure why Studio is behaving like this, but when I try to scale or drag a Part, it makes the whole game extremely slow. Then, when I let go, it goes back to normal speed. This is unusual because this never happened before when I try dragging big parts. Also, I noticed that the tools on the Home and Model tabs were updated (for example, the Rotation tool has a new look).

This makes me extremely frustrated, it makes building a lot harder and it’s difficult to be precise.

If this is in the wrong category, please let me know. If you’re also experiencing this, I would love to hear back from you!

Have you tried removing Studio then downloading it again?

I will try that and let you know if it solves this issue.

Hi, lately it has been noticed that Studio sometimes from out of no-where starts to use a massive amount of your computer memory in which case makes it slow.

Currently there is not solid fix to this.

When in studio you should monitor your memory usage from Task Manager > Processes.

Cheers

I uninstalled Roblox Studio then reinstalled it, but that didn’t really seem to do much. Thanks for your help, though.

Roblox Studio sometimes have some bugs in new patches.

You need wait for patch which fix that.

UPDATE: It seems like Roblox has reverted the update, because the building tools on my Studio have changed back to what they were before. Dragging big parts is no longer a problem. Thank you all for your input!

I sadly still have the updated version… How did it changed back for you?

Another update was pushed out that reverted the recent update. I’m guessing you just have to wait until Roblox will push out another one. :frowning:
