New to textures/decals and getting blurry results?

I’m trying to make a decal that is pretty much giant pixels
I would like to copy the effect I have on the sides of this tree, but using a decal instead of lots of small blocks.

So I created this texture that is literally just 5x4 pixels in photoshop but when I apply it to the tree it looks pretty much like the lighter color with some barely noticeable dark spots where the dark squares should be. I tried both PNG and JPEG with multiple different options.
What is wrong and how do I stop this?

Roblox will compress the texture once it has been uploaded to the site, so I would suggest creating a 60 x 48 texture or larger.

is there any way to overcome this? i dont want to resize a 32x32 texture to 512x512 and destroy the user’s pc

@HexToast is totally right.
@bloccoPNG, no need to, as he said, a 60x48 is enough.

I gotta say that in the op’s example, id’ use custom meshes and UV mapped. ← but that totally depends on your likings.

Even if i make it 60x60 its really compressed
