Great work on updating the toolbox Roxyâs team. (i cant name them all)
Finally, that old toolbox was just terrible. Caused a lot of problems.
I really like this update. I feel like now that we have more and more catalogs within the studio app the library on the website is becoming more and more useless (except for plugins). Are you guys planning on migrating everything from the library page to studio eventually and then discontinuing the library? I honestly wouldnât mind either way.
Another great early Christmas gift! Awesome update! This allows us do more in studio without an extra tab. Great Cheers!
This is amazing! Thank you tons for finally cleaning up the toolbox!
This addresses the issue I had with the old Toolbox and adds more in the process. Thank you!
Ahah. Finally.
Search by Creator in Marketplace
- Been needing a update like this for a long time. Ive been wanting to search models by someone they put on sale but would first have to find the name of any model they created then click on there little name which seemed to be disabled this year.
Splitting Inventory and Marketplace
- I didnât mind having to do the little drop down menu but this change will better suit others needs, and also make my enjoyment of the tool box ever so easier.
Detailed Asset Preview
- The new 3D interactive preview thank you so much for this.
Finally now I donât have to insert models into my game to see what they look like in full.
I appreciate the new UI changes it got to
Good job
This will be great for private developers. I can make assets and send it to the group owner, and vice versa. Never having to add it in-game
Is there an ETA for the release? Maybe itâs just me, but my Studio doesnât have the update yet.
So Marketplace is the same as the Library? Is there a particular reason for deviating from the established term there? I canât make up the reasoning for it from this post.
Iâm also confused why the term âmarketplaceâ was used especially since âlibraryâ is shorter and would look better when the toolbox is scaled down.
In my studio itâs there, so I think you should just reopen studio
@Place_Rebootâs reply actually made a bit of sense. Going to be cool to see what will actually come in the future though.
Thatâs a fair point. Unfortunately didnât catch that post on my first take because it was buried under âthanks, this is greatâ posts.
What did we do to deserve these great updates!? How could we EVER thank you!?!
No, but seriously though. Great update, guys. Roblox is becoming better and better with each update you roll out. Thanks!
This is something that I believe should have been a part of the toolbox from the start, however itâs here so I wonât complain. These features will be quite helpful in developing, specifically the search for users feature, though cleaned up UI is nice as well! My one piece of feedback is moving the tabs to
Recent | Inventory | Marketplace
Although newer developers may use the âMarketplaceâ or library often, generally it would help experienced developers who almost always/always use their own or teamâs assets.
1. Splitting Inventory and Marketplace
I love that I can see recently used assets! I try to come back to assets I use later on to vote on them, and this will help me to do that.
I canât take advantage of the Inventory tab unfortunately due to a bug that causes my recent assets to never show up in the toolbox, but once that is fixed, Iâll be sure to check it out.
2. Detailed Asset Preview
And along with 1, this will help me to vote on them, much appreciated!
I especially like being able to look into models, it will certainly help to determine quality. I do hope in the future, we will be able to look into scripts as well.
Does clicking on the author name in the pop-up card thing (on hover) use this filter now?
This (author name):
Edit: Tested, nope.
It used to be a link you could click.
Real shame.
This is a great update that I wanted for a long time!
What about the ability to search for group created assets by looking up the name of a group? I canât do that and there are some public group assets I want to find.
Note when I say public, I donât mean group assets for groups you have appropriate permissions in to find private assets via the toolbox in the âInventoryâ tab
great addition to give models more relevance and to give users the ability to like these models to give them more traction!
