they do a lot of stuff for their investors, not because every single employee wants it but because the ceo and investors do, the employees want the features to work. this, if fixed and improved, could be good, because in an earlier post, it was mentioned that the explorer might become usable in game

What is the problem Roblox has that makes them unable to just update the UI style without changing the entire layout and size of everything? Itās understandable that most of the studio UIs needed to be remade, but I canāt see any reason to just change the layout of things when most developers are already familiarized with them.

the ceo shouldnt have full power over our community ngl, all theyāve done is make roblox worse and worse, they dont have any consideration for our opinions, the only time something gets changed is when the entire community starts a war.
- Selection contrast is abysmally low
- Ridiculously large padding between every single element
- Text and icon size is ginormous
- Scroll bar takes up way too much room
- Right click has less options immediately available
And thatās just a few complaints I found within a minute of opening studio. I think my biggest gripes are the sheer size of everything (no more compact efficiency), and that the highlight over what Iām selecting might as well be not present at all. Add a high contrast option preferably and some sort of compact display mode.
Editing my reply. 10 minutes later I realized Select Children is now hidden behind a dropdown. So many useful features are needlessly tucked away behind sub menus. Genuinely, why?
Edit 2: The performance on it is noticeably slower. While my PC is fairly strong and can handle it without significant issue, watching my FPS dip from 250 to 70 just from scrolling is not a good sign. Iād imagine that for a mid to low end device this explorer is absolutely chugging performance, and that seems to be reflected in other replies.

super laggy too, have already had two crashes from just selecting a single model with a couple of children

I simply canāt understand why change the size of things, and also they should do what discord recently did, which is to add multiple shades of dark modes, so we wonāt have to stick with this darker version of the UIs.

PLEASE add an option to restore the older version, i can no longer properly use it anymore as i basically rely on the older version for certain dropdowns,

Roblox said the new explorer is easier to add stuff to. It benefits them but not that much the developers. There is name incrementing which add a number at the end of each similar name to make all parts named something different, but thatās about it.
If you are experiencing lag issues then post your microprofile. If you have issues with other things than performance, please make a list. The more people talk about the issues directly, the more likely it is to be fixed,
Just give us an option to zoom out, it feels cramped

To be honest, I want this too. Zoom in and out. It would fix not being able to read some text.
Also my sight is a little blurry so I gotta move a tiny bit closer to the PC to read the text. I would appreciate a zoom in and out

Might just take some time getting used to
i guess its about time i switch to outdated 2019 logged out studio clients and sacrifice 50% of my hard drive to download assets just to create my games 50% faster .

The new explorer could be a better option, but currently I have 2 big issues:
- Itās slow, scrolling causes studio fps to drop significantly.
- New camera controls Right Click + Scroll to change camera speed has stopped working.
Iād very much prefer to use the old explorer for now

yeah ik, its just annoying that i just like, write a script, and then i am seeing a lot of workspace, guis, server siding, and etc. parents got changed/entirely removed, and i have to go on the previous versions and paste new changes here in the exact same way over and over again, idk, its really time wasting to me :shrug: (i am alone in the studio. nobody is doing it, nobody has access to do that, if so, its surely a some sort of bug)
