Next Gen Studio UI Preview is here! [Beta]

as for the font, the new Start Page was the first one to use the new one

Yeah it works in isolation. It’s a problem in the Editor when there’s multiple plugins and UI systems.

I’m missing the feature to fold the toolbar away.
I use that feature quite a bit for taking larger screenshots of my game.

Maybe I’m just a little blind and it is still here somewhere,
If not, could it please be implemented?

Double click the tabs or right click in the ribbon area to do it through the context menu.

You have to double click to hide/reveal but we are working on improving the interaction to be a bit more like the old collapse ribbon worked (or better!)

Aha, thanks for letting me know!

Not related to this conversation, but gave this beta feature a whirl again and very happy to see it’s working properly with super-resolution (5120x2160)! Couldn’t give it a proper go last time. Thanks!

The white space needs to be used up better and maybe don’t put all the tools in tabs.

I just yesterday switched to my friends account to give the Dev rank perms but after a while my studio crashed when playtesting and when I restarted it opened studio on that account trough I switched back when I switched to my account I got the old ui randomly

Also one thing with the play button on the next gen last time I would publish my game but accidentally clicked play when my battery was low so when I the next day opened my studio it spammed me with prompts (it looks like prompts have a shadow) what lagged my PC it said try to reconnect with team create and tried to open new windows I barely could kill studio or restart after long time I managed to restart but maybe move the play button away from the file button is beter

where did it go?

Why is this option available (an not working) on the Next Gen Studio UI?

Ah… it seems the avatar team was working on this when we were mapping out Avatar tools but have paused this particular one. As far as I understand the intent was to help convert and R6 place to R15 and this tool would update scripts/rigs. I’ll double check but I’m guessing they will want us to remove it.

There could be a few reasons this happened. Can you DM logs if it’s still happening for you?

Can we please get this fixed? This pop up disappears way to slowly after removing my mouse from the button.

And it often overlays everything despite Roblox Studio not being open or me being in the Code Editor.

Matter of fact, it’s still overlaying as I’m writing this.

It’s taking a damn while but this is being fixed

I already know what that stuff does, is there a way to disable them completely?

where do i find logs? the output doesn’t give anything

Yeah I just learned our recent fixes may have caused more problems than solved. Team is working on it. This is a brand new system from scratch so thanks for reporting and being patient.

Feel free to DM them to me.

We took a look at the logs and it looks like this was a problem caused by updating from a fairly old version of Studio.

The dev team recommends doing a re-install of the latest version and you should be good to go:

I have reinstalled Studio like 3 times, yet my topbar is still on vacation

I can send logs in DMs
