This allows for dealing with breakpoints in plugin code. Ideally this option will be hidden unless you have “Plugin Debugging Enabled” checked.
Very interesting update!
Can you add like an zoom button that will toggle full screen game view like in other engines like: Unity, Godot etc…?
This looks cool, great job fellas
This new UI is objectively worse because it takes the worst practices of all modern apps’ UIs and brings them over just because theyre more common despite the fact that theyre worse than what roblox did previously. For example, the old View button with big buttons and colored icons for them is literally better for everyone’s eyes and better for beginners trying to learn studio than this silly little switch hidden behind a tiny button and a tiny UI. Roblox, you literally outplayed other apps and engines by just doing that. Why did you have to adapt to how they do it. Whats next? Remove WASD camera controls just because other engine devs arent smart enough to use that?
You’re just seeing the bad side, you need to consider the old UI is worse in performance an yada yada yada, the new one is more performance friendly an you will be able to customize it.
Hey, Paul! I came here to thank you for the new design of the Studio UI! Can’t wait for the full version.
Jokes aside, sometimes the Ribbon glitches and appears on top of other apps, alongside with the white description box that appears when you hover over the buttons. It’s kind of getting annoying lol.
Whoa! I have not seen this. Do you happen to have the ribbon undocked in Studio?
How will the Internal Bar look for Internal Permissions?
You mean for Roblox Staff users and people that fake being staff users? It’s just in the window titlebar now.
Yes i was just wondering how it would look for Roblox Staff & Internal users
The new Gen Studio looks epic to be quite honest
All fun and games until you change the channel from Production
Ah looks epic your team have done a great Job
Yes, I had to dock it again to prevent it from happening.
OK thanks for the additional info! I will share with our engineers.
This has become 1 of … if not the longest thread on Dev forum.
Just shows how important it is to Devs.
So glad you are the man overseeing & communicating with us
Still using the old/standard one - but looking forward to stability & then switch over.
Thank you!
We are getting close to a big release! The goal is to expose anything you can do within the old UI (mostly through customization) so you can use it day in and day out.
I’ve been using custom tabs and full playtest controls for a couple weeks now and I’m really liking it.
I probably would use it too - but currently it limits how many Plugins you can see.
I have around 45-50 Plugins - and the Top Ribbon only shows 15-17 and the drown down (of the balance) show about the same 15-17 plugins. So many are missing.
Once that is fixed - guess I would switch over too - until we can better organize it ourselves.
Thanks for the awesome work !!
