If the Ribbon will ever get a design refresh from this current state, horizontal scrolling would be awesome.
is the next gen properties tab and the next gen assets manager going to release in beta before the full release of the next gen studio ?
I have a question, in the Next Gen UI, will the text be able to get cut out if its too long?
Does that mean the feature is on track for auto enrol in late March and release in June?
Okay but the real question is what’s releasing first, the Next Gen Studio UI or StyleEditor?
Such a strange effect. I thought it was a new update. Actually, it’s quite good.
Strange things will appear in the upper left corner and block but they can still be clicked.
Yes, so I know we haven’t been updating the visuals as much as we had hoped, but all of this work is getting us into a position to be able to make more frequent, iterative updates. I expect it to start evolving more after we get the functional parity box ticked!
This isn’t the Next Gen UI but it is a valid bug. Thanks for reporting!
Yes indeedy! We are on track but with our release cycle, the auto enroll won’t actually hit production until early April.
Asset Manager Beta should be well before Next Gen full release. I’m not 100% on the plans for Next Gen Properties, but it’s a priority for that team.
It depends on which text you mean. Custom tab names can be as long as you’d like but we will have a maximum display width.
Ha! It’s currently too close to call. Both are on pretty similar target timelines at the moment.
Im talking 'bout these.
Gotcha! We are still working on some guidelines for what to do with long plugin names. We will need to decide to truncate or wrap. Wrapping is the most problematic.
Yes - Most definately the horizontal scroll. Hate the Vertical drop down.
But as you say - seeing & organizing the plugin icons in groups is the goal.
Might a lazy way - but most visualize the icaons - and you find it quicker.
ok then re-design the old ui with new code, dont replace it entirely with whats worse. lol. ui is primarily about looks, not about how its coded. thats why its “user interface”
I’m super interested to see how this evolves once you can easily create, name, and organize your own tabs. I think it might reduce the occurrence of ultra packed tabs, but we shall see!
Wow, looking at this new UI design being on the center is cool and the icons being simple less eye sore. but I might not get used to it. But I want get used to it!
We plan to let you choose if you want the tabs to be left or center aligned. All thanks to community feedback. Coming soon!
