A little word of advice when making open source stuff, not only does the product have to be appealing, but you also need to act professional.

This isnt professional at all :sob:
For instance, please stop with the “…” after almost every sentence, its just like you’re trying to be dramatic ig.

Also if someones just bothering you there is no need to reply with “I dont care”, just ignore it.

And when people make statements such as this:

either you respond with something to reassure them, or you keep your mouth shut.

Im not saying this to bug you, Im just trying to give you some advice so you dont screw up, I’ve seen too many people go down this path, it isnt worth it :sob:

Anyhow, thus concludes my ted talk on how to be professional to a degree,

Also maybe dont mention how the system got DDosed in the post, that probably will make people not want to use it.

doesnt change the points I stated, showing vulrability in a system is never a good thing, thats why most companies wont address big safety concerns most of the time, its bad for PR to admit to the weaknesses most of the time.

I see 2 big problems:

  1. The system isn’t on github which means that it isn’t available for everyone to easily see and understand the code.
  2. We as the developers can’t manage the bans which leads to a loose of control.

Well to combat Nr. 2 i can add a option for devs to unflag individual players from their game.

maybe becuase nobody is using a system they have no control over and have no need for if they own any type of anticheat

instead of making a useless ban list that only 5 player obbies will use release an actual resource that game developer can and will use for game development

I wasn’t planning on using this resource at all because of what @packpngtexture stated above.

It doesn’t make it any better that this developer is extremely immature and irresponsible.

Do you want people to use this product? If so, you gotta have good PR, currently you are the last person on earth anyone would want to get something from, you’re getting worked up over all of this itty-bitty stuff, and its hard to trust someone like that, if I were you, for starters, stop acting immature I beg :sob:, and just ignore the haters.

When it comes to developers and making community resources, if you start being like a jerk, nobodies gonna use your stuff (as can be said with most resources).

All Im saying is you’re ruining your reputation over nothing, and that I beg for your future projects that you can like, stop, cause its only going to get worse if you keep it up.

Anyhow those are my wise words of the day, do with them what you will.
