Added a HttpService enabled check to prevent errors from getting in the way.
Added a new config customKickMessage with the attribute “{reason}”
Added a package link to the Setup Folder
Could you also add a GitHub link or a roblox library link instead of the download file? I would like to see how the system works without having to worry about viruses on a downloaded file.
So, instead of games actively banning players (which they still should), this will look at a list of players that have cheated on other games and are now on a ban list that prevent them from playing in your game?
Awesome! This sounds like a sweet solution. But, without jumping on the discord, what is the current total of cheaters captured?
Just wondering, is there anyway to verify the list or show the lost outside of discord? I am all for community communication, but for others that want to drop the asset and go, this would be more useful to see the list of players outside of discord (or someway to pull the list)
Mind you, I haven’t tried the asset yet, so I am making some assumptions here.
Currently 0 since the project has been released for a couple of hours xD
There’s also a banned list at: http://nexusban.nexusdark.com:25797/dashboard/banned
But it requires authentication (Logging into your game using your game id and whitelist key)
But i will make it public next update.
This has been attempted a ton, but why would I trust this system to ban somebody from my game?
What if you’re just doing ;fly in your game to another user, and then they get banned from EVERY game using this service.
It would be better to allow the developers to see the list and ban the people themself, or something like that.
This resource would be great if it did have those things.
As i said it needs strict proof of cheating.
It needs a 10 second video of proof that clearly shows the person cheating with the username fully visible.
And everyone can see the ban list. as i also said.
this would not prevent the case that @Jopio0819 mentioned, the point is, we dont know you, we dont trust you to have the ability to just ban anyone. Even if you have good intentions, thats usually the reason these things fail. That and taking the time to contact an admin of this system to tell them to ban someone, especially if your game is somewhat big, isnt exactly plausible, and just having your own system and doing it yourself would be much easier.
And i decided that i will be using a new system within the next few updates.
Only trusted games or trusted users can report.
There’s no other way to report.
And also by making this i can EARN trust.
You don’t know my intentions.
You know nothing about me.
I could just be a nice developer trying to do something nice.
You do know that you exposed the server IP in the latest .rbxm?
Also, why isn’t your whole domain using SSL?
It runs on HTTP, which is unsafe.
Also, why aren’t you simply using the game token/key to link the game to the owner, such as group and or game owner?
And then have the roblox authentication using oauth2?
Also i dont mind since almost every api route is protected.
And i dont know why.
Im trying to use cloudflare but my host just doesn’t like it for some reason.
Im trying to use cloudflare tunneling but im focusing on making the whitelist system better rn
Thats not the point, as the developer of my own game, I trust my judgement to moderate my own game.
We as individuals are not trusted to moderate other peoples games/experiences.
Yes you could, and I dont doubt you are, Im just saying you’re judgement is different from my own, and I wouldnt want people I didnt personally train to moderate my game.
Then do what you want…
Am i forcing you to use NexusBan?
Why does the whole community have to be so toxic?
Dude im the one here working day and night for something nice and the community ruins it by just being plain toxic
