As the title stats, there is no auto-saves in my auto-save folder.
I’m not sure what to do and if it even is being auto-saved when it says it is. (Auto-recovery is enabled in studio settings; interval is 5 minutes)
Sorry for little amount of information but I have absolutely no idea where the files are going.
Look in your Studio Settings.
You can find the save location that Studio uses. They may just be saved in a different spot than you’re looking.

Do you get an autosave notification every 5 minutes in Studio?
When it autosaves for me Studio also freezes up for a split second.
Is the place uploaded to Roblox or is it a local file?
If it’s uploaded to Roblox, then autosaves can be found in Studio at Game Settings → Places → ... besides the relevent place → Version history
