Hi, I’m looking to make some type of Roblox game, and I was curious if someone could give me an idea. I’m new to coding, and this is a project I’m doing on my own.

If you are a new dev, I would recommend making an obby, since it is super easy to make, and you can learn some basic scripting. Another idea is making a tycoon, but I personally have never made a tycoon, so I can’t necessarily recommend it. I am excited to play your game when it is released!

As a general idea; you could do a singleplayer game as your first game, because multiplayer does make things a lot more complicated.

If you’re making an obby, I would reccomend giving it something unique. Since obbies aren’t too difficult to make, there are many of them on Roblox. To get yours to stand out, you should make it unique. You could do something like add lore (a story behind it)
If you want to, you can ask ChatGPT for ideas. Just don’t ask it to make scripts for you.
Also here’s some advice

So don’t quit.
Also, since you’re a new dev, I would suggest getting friends or people you know to help you, and since you’re a scripter, I would try and target a GFX designer if possible, even if they have like 1 week of experience.

Ask AI for some ideas. It doesn’t disappoint.
Pst: While working on youre obby, or whatever you choose to make, think up some interesting ideas and try to implement them, this can help you learn some new skills along the way, and just keep things interesting!
