I ran a sponsored ad yesterday in the new ad manager using 150 Ad Credits. The total ad spend at the end of the campaign was 5.15 Ad Credits. The unused ad credits were not refunded after the campaign ended. Was this a bug, or is there a hidden waiting period for unused ad credit refunds?
It may take up to 24 48 hours after the end of the campaign to process the refund for the remaining balance. If you still don’t see the refund after that let us know.
We’re aware that the UI is not communicating this properly at the moment, sorry for the confusion.
I’ve had the same issue, I have bought over 1,000+ ad credits to spend since the release of this new system, not a single ad credit has appeared back in my account after the ad saying it’s only spent around 50 of my ad credits.
In the case where the ad credits were not spent due to not enough impressions/visits, surely this should be refunded immediately?
Any adjustments due to suspected suspicious ad traffic can be sorted later.
There’s some particular egregious cases right now where people have spent hundreds of USD on ads, received less than 100 impressions and no visits, and are yet to receive refunds.
In total $210 worth of Ad Credits was spent, while $20.09 (7.38 + 12.71) in total was used, as reported. That means I should receive a $189.91 (210 - 20.09) Ad Credit refund.
I checked my “Payment Activity” tab and did not find any refunds at all.
