"No verified patch could be loaded"

Sorry for the late reply, but is your bug anything like this?

I did notice an unusual amount of packages and sounds that failed to load when I got the chance to check, but nothing new actually gets printed when studio crashes. It also does not crash when playtesting the game, it happens anywhere from 10 seconds after loading to being practically instant. From what I can tell the game loads mostly as it should, and something else is causing studio to crash. I can’t figure out exactly what since the log file is a bit cryptic, but it should still help once the report I sent is read. It always mentions HTTP “aborted url” errors, though.

I’m more confused since for me this is happening in only one game, which I haven’t edited for a few days (and it was working fine yesterday when I went to take a screenshot). The issue is also now present in all the older versions of the game downloaded through version history and still happens when running a local copy.

Hi - your crash appears to be unrelated to the original post; instead it appears to be a rendering issue.

Can you open File → Studio settings, go to the Rendering page and post what your Graphics mode is set to?

I’m not on my pc now, apologies, but I believe I have graphics on Vulkan and set to Automatic.

Sorry - could you clarify if your Graphics Mode setting is Automatic or Vulkan?

Regardless, setting Graphics Mode to Direct3D11 might solve the crash.

For anyone who might be seeing the top level error:

First, try uninstalling and reinstalling following the guide here: How to Uninstall Roblox

If that doesn’t work, try removing all cached settings manually.

On Windows:

  1. Clear Registry
  • In the Start menu, search for regedit and open it
  • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER->SOFTWARE
  • Delete all registry keys related to Roblox
  1. Remove settings files
  • In a File Explorer, go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Roblox
  • Delete GlobalSettings_13.xml and GlobalBasicSettings_13.xml

On Mac:

  1. Open a Terminal window
  2. Enter:
% cd ~
% rm Library/Preferences/com.roblox.Roblox*.plist`
% rm Library/Roblox/Global*Settings_13.xml

Apologies for the poor wording,
My graphics mode is set to Vulkan and both edit and normal quality levels are set to Automatic.

Since another team member has the same issue I’ll also ask them to try this, thanks for the help.

edit: This fixed the issue, appreciate the help!

That fixes it (i have experienced this in the past, i haven’t done it yet), I made this in the hope it can be fixed by Roblox so it doesn’t happen again.

It’s in our internal bug tracking system, and we will be taking a look!

Does turning off MaterialService beta feature fix your issue?

I cant test this anymore, I reinstalled studio. The first time I experienced this is when the new marketplace was enabled.

this fixed the issue for me, it no longer outputs an error and playtesting works without crashing

Thanks for the reports. This is a real issue, and we are working on a fix for it. The current way to get around the problem is to reinstall studio, and we will update when the root problem is solved.

Incase you want to know more info about this, if it happens you’re locked out of playtest, and some widgets (including the marketplace) do not work

I updated studio, and this just happened to me, now I can’t playtest as I am constantly getting handshake errors and nothing loads properly in playsolo anymore, not only that but re-installing roblox studio doesn’t fix it either.

Has there been a fix for this issue?

I was getting a Port forwarding firewall error, fixed that and now have this error. No idea what’s caused it.

I dont thinkl, all we know is the team is working on it.
