Has there been a fix for this issue?

I was getting a Port forwarding firewall error, fixed that and now have this error. No idea what’s caused it.

I dont thinkl, all we know is the team is working on it.

Restoring my Firewall Settings to default, uninstalling and re-installing Studio and restarting my computer seemed to work.

Copy them into a different folder and re-install studio

No, it saves your local files if you reinstall

Great now i have this dumb issue

Just happened to me when trying to play test my game. Lost some work done.

Same here, studio is really slow and hangs when trying to playtest, stops hanging after 7 seconds and returns this issue in the output.

This also goes for when I join a team create game, instead of my Studio going fluently into a game, it hangs for a few seconds, I am able to join the team test game but I’m met with these errors in the output.

Now i’m at an issue where it would install studio but then mysteriously end the task by itself preventing me from installing it.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Studio also worked for me.

Before reinstallation,
Anyone can helping us figure out the issue by sending us the Roblox Studio installation folder?
Thanks!

Has the problem not been fixed yet? This is really frustrating.

Where do I send the Folder?

Right Click on the Roblox Studio Icon, Click Properties, Click Open File Location, Then You will be in the folder that contains the RobloxStudio.exe. Go one up level, and zip the “version-xxxxxxxxxx” Folder.

If the file is too large, you may only zip this Folder version-xxxxxxxxx\ExtraContent\models\DataModelPatch\

It should be only 6MB.

I’m getting this issue today for the first time (just updated Studio to the latest version). I have never seen this error before.

Send a .zip of your Studio folder to @MetalMax2

The reason is this file corrupted:
version-xxxxxxxxx\ExtraContent\models\DataModelPatch\DataModelPatch.rbxm
Still investigating why and when it happens. In one of user’s zipped installation folder, the file is 0 Byte, normally it should be about 6MB.
In another user’s case, the file has the same size, but truncated. We are still try to figure out when and why this file is corrupted.

Hypothesis:

  • During installation: User should encounter the error immediately after upgrade Roblox Studio.
  • Some bug in Roblox Studio that modified the file.
  • Some external program that modified the file, antivirus? file sync? (but why only this particular file is affected)

Still investigating…
