whenever i add a normal map to my surfaceappearance, it causes unusual shading to appear on my model. ive tried clearing custom split normals data, merging by distance, solidify and exporting with a different file (obj)
with normal map:
i ended up using intersect (boolean) by pressing CTRL F in edit mode and then deleting the vertices inside of the mesh. after that i rebaked my textures and that seems to fix it
