Not Finding Wireless Controller while playing

This is just be a bug with the controller set up I’m using, however, I would think this setup would be quite popular.

My set up is using a USB Microsoft XBOX 360 Receiver to pick up my Wireless XBOX 360 Controllers on my Mac Laptop

Now it works great if my controller is already on when I join any game on ROBLOX, however, if I turn on my Controller while in any game, the game does not pickup anything from my controller.

This only happens on a Live Server. In Studio it works perfectly Fine (Turn on Controller at anytime, input is read). [strike]I can’t test if this happens with USB Plug in controllers as I don’t have one.[/strike] Edit: this works for Plug in controllers

Also if it helps, if my Controller is on while teleporting between places, the controllers input will begin to work if it wasn’t before.

Repro Place: Any Place, like Natural Disaster by stickmasterluke

Repro Steps:

  1. Have a USB Microsoft XBOX 360 Receiver to pick up Wireless XBOX 360 Controllers [strike](maybe, could be any controller idk)[/strike]
  2. Make sure the Controller is off.
  3. Join any Live Game
  4. Wait until character is fully loaded.
  5. Turn on Controller.
  6. Try to move or press buttons
  7. No response from the game.

Reminder: this is only on Live servers, it works in Studio.

I feel like this should be an easy fix, since honestly it works perfectly fine in Studio, so something just isn’t turned on for Live Servers.

The only way for Live Servers to pick up my Controller is for it to be on when I join a Server. If my controller goes off at any point while in game I can’t get the input back from it, even if I turn it back on. Since the Controller turns itself off every like 2 mins of inactivity, it can easily go off if I’m having a conversation with another player, or go afk.
