I have an idea for a game that I’m making (Mainly for experience since I’m not that good). I was going to search it up to see if there were other games with a similar name to see if it was original. I came across this game with the name I was thinking of that had millions of visits.
I was planning on changing the name of it but I haven’t played that game so I don’t know if it’s the same and it isn’t playable on mobile which is the platform I play on.
My idea was basically a tiny town where the town would be tiny (obviously), and the player would be able to explore the small town and interact with the NPCs and stuff.
I was wondering if I should continue with the idea or just scrap it and do something else as I haven’t done much of it yet.
Please note that I don’t expect it to get big or anything but mainly want to do it for experience.
A kind reminder that you can just search up gameplay for relatively popular games on YouTube, etc.
From there on, you can make the judgement whether you want to make the game or not. Remember an idea is only the starting point, execution is more important! Also I’m a little confused on how you can develop on Studio if you’re on a mobile device?
Go for it!
I have several places that I have developed without an end-goal or expecting it to get popular; however, it has built up my experience whether it was: UI design, building or scripting. It doesn’t matter if someone has developed something similar to your idea, you’re doing it for yourself.
What I meant is that I play on mobile but I have a laptop. The reason I don’t play on my laptop is because the fans would be extremely loud and annoying so I just stick with mobile.
