Perhaps there could be a little text saying how old the notification is, on the right side of the notification name?
Pretty much like you can see the age of a topic/post, just that it shows it on the notification. You could obviously click the notification and view the post age, but I think it would look nice if we could see it directly on the notification.
I do know about this, but why isn’t it also in the quick context menu?
I’m pretty sure it’s probably just the fact that Discourse probably doesn’t support that.
You might have better luck submitting a feature request on meta.discourse.org.

This is intended, in the dropdown menu for notifications we only want to include the most-relevant information in the limited space. Otherwise, the UI would become cluttered.
The notifications you see in the dropdown are ordered by recency.
