About me

Hey there! My name is Noti_fied, but people often call me Andre. I’m currently 15 years old. I’ve been modeling for a few months and I’m getting better by the day. I am mostly specialized in Low-poly modeling/building.

How long did it take to learn blender? And do you use 2.8?

It honestly depends how much time you willing to put into it. I was doing 5-6+ hours a day, trying to achieve things I didn’t know I could do. I originally was going to do realistic builds with realistic textures, but then I realized I’m way better at low-poly. But, it took me 3-4 months to get where I am right now.

Hello,

This is a very nice portfolio! I really do like the examples you’ve provided in your post.

Whilst I am not currently looking for any of your work, I will go ahead and give you some outside advice and opinions on this, do note I have no experience within the fields you work in.

First of all, I would definitely advise that you make your “terrain piece” slightly more triangles so it looks nicer. Albeit, I don’t actually entirely understand what they are for (I assume you put them together to make terrain.)

Secondly, I would add more grass in your fifth picture provided in the “Nature” category. More grass types, so it generally doesn’t look as flat would be a nice addition. And just a small note, I don’t actually see any trees in that picture that match the thickness of the logs seen in it. It’s a small detail, but I think it’d be cool if there was some thinner trees that actually matched the logs. (The tree stump is also what I’d assume was meant where the actual logs came from, but it is very clearly too thick for the logs.)

Thirdly, for your “cheeseburger” (yummy) I would advise you make the buns slightly more thicker for a more realistic look, it just looks too flat in my opinion.

Fourth, your portal lacks in severe detail, the actual portal (the blue, I assume.) could definitely have a decal on it, that would make it look a lot better. You could also add some more smaller rocks that are all differently coloured.

Another thing I would recommend that you do, expand into other fields. You’d probably get a lot more sales if you make guns, or other things that may be demanded. Even if you do that already, you could always provide more examples to show that you do do that.

Generally though, I like this!

I truly do appreciate your feedback, but for example: Me scaling the cheeseburger buns up won’t get more people to look at my post. That was just an idea to what I can make with Blender. Regarding decals etc, I don’t personally think me adding decals to my mesh will show me as a “Good 3D modeler”. It would represent detail, but only reason why I created my portfolio is just to show what I can do with Blender and if anyone likes my models they can contact me.

I don’t plan on making guns as I’m more of a low-poly modeler as mentioned in the post, in a few months time I could try to make a gun but I plan to stay in this ‘field’ for now.
