Adjustments

  • Akimbo Weapons
    • You can now aim down sights using the Secondary Aim key (T by default), or Aim key (Right Mouse Button) in Akimbo Automatic mode
  • New command: /dance - makes your character dance! Moving will cancel the action.
    • Available dances: /dance 1, /dance 2, /dance griddy, /dance flare, /dance caramelldansen

Balance Changes

  • Explosives (RPG-7, China Lake, M79 GL)
    • Will now deal full damage at any radius

    • Akimbo Deagles - Accuracy buffed from 50 to 80

Sus Mutator

  • Fixed Sus packages not working

The Depot

  • Fixed dead bodies not being able to be picked up from under the white box trucks
  • Fixed staircase in the main warehouse blocking line of sight for NPCs
  • Fixed bags getting stuck under the workbench in the construction storage unit

R&B Bank

  • Replaced the physics based front door with a more standard door

Ozela Heist

  • Added guard accessories to the disguise (vest, cap and shades)
  • Fixed guard disguise not affecting the arms

Fixes

  • Fixed blood being disabled on Console
  • Fixed Sionics Suppressor and Microsilencer not being counted for Optical Illusion skill.
  • Fixed a bug where switching a silenced weapon in heist would not properly account for silencers (other than Jungle) for the Optical Illusion skills
  • Fixed gadgets not having attachments (like the HE grenade)
  • Fixed Body bagging prompt not appearing if you killed a hostage before they got alerted
  • Fixed collision issues with Marketable Jade Plushie
  • Fixed Riot Shield Spartan skin being too placed too high up

Weapons

  • Added the 1858 New Army (Secondary) and Akimbo 1858 New Army (Primary),
  • Added the Balisong Knife (Melee),
  • Renamed the Judge and Akimbo Judge to Justicar and Akimbo Justicars, respectively,

Mutators

  • Added “Better With Friends” - when active, the lobby host’s friends list will be used to generate civilians rather than our normal systems.

Adjustments

  • Increased the main place Server Size from 50 → 200 players,
  • Added Sliding (Sprint, then Crouch)
    • Consumes 90 stamina (40% of base Suit stamina),
    • Sliding speed is 1.4x the speed of your run speed,
    • Not affected by skills that boost your speed, like Fighter, Second Wind and Charisma,
  • Stamina bar now has segments based on how many slides you can perform, as well as how much stamina will be consumed.
    • Stamina bar will now flash if you try to slide/sprint without stamina,
  • Experimental new animation framework for first person view models - currently being used for the new weapons (1858 New Army and Balisong Knife),
  • Updated ammo logic to avoid issues when high ping (like repeating reload animation and negative ammo),
  • You can now inspect weapons while sprinting,

Criminals

  • New AI Heister: Sidra. The artist of the crew - they pack a pair of custom Akimbo 1858 New Army revolvers.,
  • Replaced Ordem’s Raging Bulls with a custom Winchester 1887 axe-shotgun,
  • AI Heisters will no longer have 1 second of delay when firing semi-automatic weapons,

UGC

  • Added Ordem’s Marketable Plushie - purchasing it will give you Ordem Plushie skin for the Brick

Music

  • New track: Urbanstep - GO,
  • Improved music transition and syncing between anticipation and assault,

Lobby

  • Added Character Customization, a new menu in the inventory screen. Here you can adjust your character’s looks including hair, eyes, suits, and more.
  • Added a one-time prompt after playing 3 heists to favorite the game.
  • Fixed the lobby using the old roman numeral algorithm for other players,
  • Badge Tracker: Premium Badge is no longer accounted for full completion (to allow a F2P 100%),
  • (Controller) Pressing Right Thumbstick now toggles between Virtual Cursor mode and default UI selection.
    • Changed Mask Select bind to L1/LB (from Right Thumbstick) to support the Virtual Cursor behavior

Challenges

  • No longer duplicates unique skins that are already owned (RNG colors might still have similar ones),
  • New weekly gun skins: Phantom, M98 Winter Harbinger, Chicago Typewriter Candy Cane,
  • Re-added the following skins to the weekly poll: Desert Eagle Arctic Retribution, Five Seven and Vepr 12 Sci-fi Blue, M95 White Mortar, P90 Copper, RPK Dragon, Bluesteel,
  • You can no longer get a challenge of the same type of any other active challenge (e.g. two “Sneaky Criminals”),
  • Added a new daily challenge: “Experienced Criminal”, requires completing 3-5 unique heists,
  • Added a new weekly challenge: “Penny Pincher”, requires collecting $1-2m in instant cash over the course of the week,
  • Changed the daily challenge: “Head Hunter” from requiring 500-800 kills to requiring 50-80 headshots,
  • Changed the weekly challenge: “Busy Criminal” by adding Trick Or Treat to the heist pool,
  • Adjusted odds for weekly skins RNG (to account for skins no longer being duplicated):
    • 75% - Randomly-generated skin (from 50%);,
    • 15% - Unique weapon skin (from 25%);,
    • 5% - Gold skin (from 25%);,
    • 5% - Bluesteel skin (from 25%);,
  • Daily’s Cash/XP rewards are no longer generated at Max Infamy, and becomes 5x less likely after infamy 25.,
  • When completing a challenge that awards XP, the level up screen will now appear.,
  • Due to improved rewards and challenge adjustments, the price of rerolling in Robux has increased from 5/10 to 15/50,

These challenge changes are intended to make daily challenges more intentional to earn (and less grindy) while weekly challenges should have more passive options to be earned over time. With the challenges types forced to be different, we are hoping that they will overall be more fun and satisfying to be completed.

Fixes

  • Fixed jump stacking on objects that weren’t meant to be jumpable on,
  • Fixed some inputs being processed while chatting,
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn’t stop blocking with the Riot Shield,
  • (Controller) Fixed keybinds menu not properly accepting inputs,
  • (Controller) Fixed a bug where disconnecting your controller would cause the camera movement to no longer work,

  • (PS4) Fixed the badge menu crashing,

ADJUSMENTS

  • You now keep sprinting after standing up at the end of a slide

LOBBY

  • Lobby Player Count reduced to 80 (from 200) to avoid data/region issues
  • Added progress bar for Head Hunter and Penny Pincher
  • Updated character customization color wheel picker to make it more clear and match the rest of the UI.
    • It’ll now hide the other frames so that players don’t accidentally cancel their color picking before confirming or cancelling

FIXES

  • Critical fix of a bug where players couldn’t mask up after the previous Roblox update
  • Fixed Akimbo Justicars skins not appearing
  • Fixed some challenge issues related to Justicar
  • Fixed being able to sprint while carrying dead bodies (undocumented from previous patch)
  • Fixed challenge descriptions for Head Hunter and Penny Pincher becoming blank after completing them

Notoriety Version 3.10.1b - patch

Adjustments

  • Added Full White and Full Black skin tones
  • Black Suit is now awarded by completing Peaceful Coexistence badge (previously was Clean Getaway)

Balances:

  • Tweaked snipers aiming logic to be more consistent
    • All snipers share the same firing sound in order to have a clear audio cue of their shots

Fixes

  • Fixed rare instances where badge suits were not awarded properly.
    • If it fails to give the suit, rejoining will do another check to ensure that the suit was properly awarded
  • Fixed a bug with challenges using specific loadouts (like Skilled Criminal) not updating with the renamed weapons

  • ECM Feedback is now guaranteed to stun enemies under 50 studs (previously 1 in 3 chance every tick)
  • (The Depot) Updated Ordem’s appearance with a new mask and face. Updated sounds for the Crime Boss sequence.

  • Fixed a critical bug where players could get a black screen when having lag spikes

Notoriety Version 3.10.2 - Economy Update

Economy & Menus

Chips

  • Introducing Chips! A new versatile ‘crypto’ currency that the Notorious can use to purchase rare goods. Turns out, Cash is too easy to track and isn’t accepted by all contractors.
    • Cash Exchange: A new market opens up to convert your hard earned Cash to Chips. It restocks once a week.
    • Digital Market: You can also convert your Robux directly to Chips, similar to how you could purchase Cash from Robux.
    • Starter Pack: You can purchase a bundle of 250 Chips, a 50% XP and Cash Booster [24hrs], and $1m Cash for much cheaper than normal, only available 7 days from when you first start playing (new players) OR you first experience this update (to give everyone a chance to buy)

Safes

  • Introducing the “Gold Rush Safe”! Explore the wild west of the Notorious world by donning 3 new masks (with over 21 variants), a new armor skin set, new gloves, new outfits, and an elusive new gun skin for the 1858 New Army weapon. This safe can be purchased with Chips.
  • The store page now displays safe odds by a new “Details” button that appears when you select a safe.
  • The “Gold Rush Safe” uses a unique system to roll, and has preset items instead of being completely random. As such, contracts do not come from this safe, and masks obtained this way do not count towards your inventory limit.
  • If you roll the same item multiple times, you can unlock ‘variants’. Once all variants are unlocked, you’ll get scraps for that item instead.

Scraps

  • Scraps can be obtained when you roll duplicates in Chip-costing safes, or when you trade in gun skins.
    • Standard gun skins can be sold for 1 scrap
    • Gold, Glossy, and Phantom gun skins can be sold for 12 scrap
    • Shiny gun skins can be sold for 15 scrap
    • Metallic gun skins can be sold for 18 scrap
    • All other gun skins can be sold for 10 scrap
      • Scrap cosmetic exchange: can be used to purchase some unique shop items. Additional masks, armor skins, gun skins, etc. will be added over time.
  • Scrap spray paint exchange: a selection of ‘spray paints’, which are base colors that can be applied to any gun you want!
    * If you spend extra scrap, you can unlock metallic or warped variations of the colors.
    * There are 10 randomly selected colors available for a single purchase every day, and reset every 24 hours.
    * Standard paints cost 25 scrap, Gold paints cost 100 scrap, and Warped paints cost 250 scrap.

Gun Skins

  • Can now be sold for scraps from the inventory.
  • Spray paints can be applied to any weapon that supports skins.
    • You can preview spray paint before applying it.

UGC Store

  • New UGC items for sale
    • Ordem’s Mask
    • Sidra’s Mask, Gold Chains, Glasses and Shirt/Pants
    • Cowboy suit/pants
    • Vulture Coat suit/pants

Challenges

  • Challenges are now tracked on individual timers
  • You can use chips to restart them sooner once you have completed them

Infamy

  • Infamy now grants Chips.
    • Every infamy, you get 5 chips
    • Every 10 levels, you get a bonus 20 (e.g. 25 for infamy X)

Boosts

  • Boosters now count down their timing from the moment you activate them rather than only in-game. If they expire during a heist, you’ll still get the effects for them, but the booster will disappear afterwards.
  • Additional tiers of boosters are available at the store page.
  • Boosters now cost Chips.

Player Info

  • Adjusted the player info displayed on the menu:
    • Cash and Chips are now displayed on their own. This should make your balance more readable when you are running multiple boosters (not make the font shrink to very tiny)
    • Display the timer for active boosts. If greater than 24 hours left, it’ll display [days:hours] otherwise [minutes:seconds]
    • Swapped position of mutator level to be next to your actual level.
    • Removed mutator XP progress details. You can track this from the heist completion.

Gameplay

Guns

  • Added the M1887, a new shotgun with a unique axe attachment and melee system. Used by the Ordem NPC heister as her weapon of choice.
  • Use the Fire Mode key (B by default) to switch between Gun and Melee mode

Sliding

  • No longer consumes stamina
  • 3 second cooldown between slides
    • (indicated via status effect - icon is placeholder)
  • Speed reduced from 1.6x run speed to 1.4x run speed.
    • Speed is no longer cut abruptly but will fade out.
  • Can be canceled by jumping or uncrouching.
  • Can no longer slide mid-air
    • if you sprint and crouch mid-air, landing will trigger a slide (unless the crouch is cancelled).
  • If sprinting, will automatically stand up. Otherwise, unless canceled, will remain crouched.
  • Stamina bar is now constantly broken into 4 segments (visual)

Balance

  • Adjusted bagging speed of most loot items
    • Money, Gold, Gift, Bloxy Cola, Witches Brew - from 5s → 2.5s
    • Samurai , Artifact, Painting, Dead Body - from 5s → 3s
    • Weapons - from 6s → 3s

Technical

Misc

  • Updated AI Heister Sidra’s appearance and casing animations
  • Renamed Lights weapon mod category to “Underbarrel”
  • Improved melee hit detection when dealing with many objects

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Ordem’s gun having collisions
  • Fixed player invites using Username instead of Display Name
  • Fixed reflective skins not applying to parts with materials
  • Reflective values no longer generate above 0.8 (to avoid inverted color skins or colorless reflections)
  • Fixed not being able to scroll down all the way to the end if you had too many weapons on the Pregame Screen,
  • (Controller) Fixed not being able to select the Kick button on the in-game Info Screen.
  • Fixed Gold skins still generating duplicates
  • Fixed Bluesteel, Chicago Typewriter Candy Cane and Winter Harbinger not dropping properly

Console Improvements

  • (Lobby) For console, pressing “A” on a scrolling frame will select the first item in the list
    • This will help on screens like the booster selection menu

Bug Fixes

  • (Controller) Inverted camera setting is now respected and will update in real time
  • (Lobby) Applying paint to an akimbo weapon will also apply it to the standard variants
  • (Lobby) Fixed the scraps shop prompt incorrectly switching on “UI Navigation Mode” even for PC users
  • (Lobby) Your player stat card will no longer go away when accessing the safe odds screen from the store
  • (Lobby) Boosters should now be selectable using “UI Navigation Mode”
  • (The Depot) bags thrown in the spawn storage crate should no longer get stuck in the ground
  • (The Depot) moved the police dropoff point slightly to hopefully prevent bags clipping into police cars. A bigger fix is need to actually prevent that entirely
  • (Rush Hour) fixed a shelf that you could throw bags under to make them impossible to pick back up

Notoriety Version 3.10.2c

NPCs

  • Guards will now look around before moving to their next patrol position
  • Reduced frequency of police jumping
  • Reduced police jump height from 7.2 studs to 3 studs
  • (The Depot) Thugs inside garages will now only spawn with Baseball Bats

Lobby

  • (Lobby) Weapon skins now display their RGB color and Reflectance (Shine) value to more accurately display what item you’ll get.
  • (Lobby) Duplicated RNG color skins will now be properly awarded
    • In the future we plan to properly tackle the issues that cause them (such as challenge RNG seed), but this will at least allow players to properly turn them into scraps if they so wish

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Sliding caused your character to stay crouched even when standing
    • This should also fix an issue with stairs not being smooth to walk through
  • Fixed an aspect ratio issue with in-game weapon select frame
  • Fixed a bug where firing a high-recoil weapon while looking straight up would make the camera upside down
  • Fixed an issue with Balisong Knife hitboxes
  • (Gift Factory) Fixed the secret boxes taking more than one bag
  • (Downtown Bank) Fixed some collision issues with the sidewalk in front of the bank

Notoriety Version 3.10.2d - Criminal NPC improvements

NPC Improvements

Criminals

  • Criminal NPCs will now take citizens hostage near them
  • You can yell in the direction of an NPC to get them to follow you. This works through walls.
    • This will show as “Following {your name}” on the HUD so other players know who is following who
  • Yelling at a Criminal NPC who is currently following you will set them to a guard stance.
    • This will show as “Guarding Position” on the HUD
  • Yelling at a Criminal NPC who is currently guarding a position will revert them to their normal behavior
  • Criminal NPCs will disregard their stance to save downed criminals
  • Fixed a long standing issue where Criminal NPCs would get stuck if they tried to revive you but another NPC saved you first (or you revived yourself)
  • Criminal NPCs can now hold a bag
    • To trigger this, throw the bag at them. You can pick up the bag again by interacting like normal

Police

  • Police will no longer drop ammo boxes when despawning after retreating from an assault (which wouldn’t be obtainable anyways)
