THE OZELA HEIST

"Listen, I know this past year has been terribly dry for contracts. I want to apologize for that. I’ve been looking left and right for leverage for bigger and better jobs, and I think I may have finally found just that.

I’ve come into contact with a man who refers to himself as “The Collector”. Specializes in, well…collecting. Not just any old collections though. I’m talking stuff like priceless, one-of-a-kind gems, museum artifacts, paintings lifted out of a presidential palace. We’ve been approached to tackle a special job for him."

  • (Ozela) No longer requires going “Loud” to get True Criminal
  • (Ozela) Added “Virtuoso” title, unlocked by completing the “Glad You Could Make It” badge
  • (Ozela) Glass in all rooms can now break, and guards can see through them now
  • (Ozela) Added the Moonstone Games development team on chairs in Gate B
  • (Ozela) RNG determines which office holds the laptop, guard lockers, and manager phone numbers. The other room is sealed off. The manager will run towards the nearest stairwell so he now has two different paths
  • (Ozela) Added a second escape option (through renovation room)
  • (Ozela) After putting on the guard costumes, additional guards block certain doorways
  • (Ozela) The hook and rope location are no longer directly displayed. Instead, their general area/room is shown as an objective
  • All detection systems now exclusively look for heads

VERSION 3.7 // MAR 7, 2022

— CHANGELOG

  • Daily and weekly challenge count increased from 1 to 3, each
  • Daily challenge prize pool now includes skins, with weekly challenge skins having the chance to be better quality (such as gold)
  • Buffed daily challenge XP and cash prizes significantly (by a factor of about 20x)
  • Daily challenge timers and weekly challenge timers are now maintained by the server, meaning challenges reset for all players at the same time. This also means refreshing your challenges will NOT reset the timer - so keep that in mind. A prompt has been added if you try to reset the challenges too close to the deadline to inform the players it may be unwise to reset in those situations.
  • The price to reset daily and weekly challenges has been cut in half, it now costs 5R$ for daily resets (per challenge) and 10R$ for weekly resets (per challenge)
  • Changed how skins are named to be more accurate: They are now named according to the average color in the model to hopefully make more sense. The actual appearance of the skins have not changed
  • Removed monthly challenges – they were too manual and will be better reflected in bonus challenges which may appear from time to time
  • Removed gamepass weapon skins from the daily challenge prize pool
  • Fixed some rounding errors in numbers in the lobby, specifically in the contract creation and lobby screens
  • Fixed some rounding errors in-game involving damage & loot indicators
  • Fixed guns sometimes being oriented wrong in the challenge prize preview windows
  • Fixed citizens dropping two keycards in certain situations (hostage + tied)
  • Fixed base health stat being shown improperly as 100, is now 230

— CHANGELOG

  • Added new soundtrack, “Cyberpunk”, which is now the default for R&B Bank and Cook Off
  • Changed assault sequence slightly so that the “anticipation” phase is now always 35 seconds, and moved the hostage delay time bonus to the “delay” phase. The hostage delay does not occur for the first assault. For most people the main difference here is that your music will sync up nicer with police assaults
  • Fixed infinite pager glitch
  • Minor improvements to animation loading where they are preloaded prior to a game starting

— CHANGELOG

  • You can now reclaim challenge rewards if you purchase a gamepass after completing the challenge. In other words, buying a gamepass will enable you to get the rewards of a challenge as long as it’s still active
  • Added a new “amogus” stealth soundtrack to replace the old one. Thanks to Memnicus for making this possible! (Pink Soldiers but it's Among Us Drip | Squid Game - YouTube)
  • Fixed XP rewards for daily challenges causing an overflow on XP without leveling you up until you successfully complete a heist. Now, you’ll get leveled up as soon as you redeem the rewards
  • Fixed accepting an invite on the challenge screen causing both the lobby screen and the challenge screen to display at the same time
  • Tweaked the anticipation music in-game to make it seamless with the police assault

— CHANGELOG

  • Added better support for dynamic maps
  • Added new explosive entry for police on R&B Bank, caused by police interaction on the roof
  • Improved explosion visuals caused by the teddy bear on Blood Money
  • Police won’t attempt to go into the vault in GMC until it has opened. Likewise, they won’t attempt to go through the laser door on the other side until it is disabled
  • Police won’t jam up against the windows in Jewelry store. Now, police have to open them by interacting
    (Note that “police interaction” is a thing that happens on maps like Gift Factory already - to disable the power for example, or to disable drills on other maps)
    (Also note that technicians prioritize interaction over attacking the player, so watch out for them)
  • Police can enter the vault in Downtown Bank (previously they’d stop at the door). Criminal AIs can now also enter the vault
  • Police can now enter through all windows in Downtown Bank
  • Boards in downtown bank can now prevent police from pathfinding in the building through windows they block
  • Scopes lenses are no longer colored (or made reflective) by skins
  • The patient in Blood Money is no longer able to be seen prior to the correct wire being snipped (you can’t clip through the wall with leaning to check)
  • Fixed criminal NPCs not being able to push through windows or open doors
  • Fixed police not being able to get through certain windows if the glass was still intact
  • Fixed safe contents being uninteractable in Transport Day 2
  • Fixed technician skills “Eco Sentry” aced and “Engineer” having weird effects on interactions with sentry guns. You should now be able to refill your sentry’s ammo with “Eco Sentry” aced properly
  • Fixed interactions sometimes not appearing on complex models like sentry guns

— 3.7C PART 2 CHANGELOG // MAR 15, 2022

  • Items now transfer to another player if a player holding mission equipment leaves the game
  • Fixed bags clipping through the ground if a character:
    A: Leaves the game
    B: Is put into custody
  • Fixed Carrier Pigeon Aced skill causing a state where the game thinks you are permanently holding a bag if you get downed while holding two bags (thus preventing you from holding two bags again)
  • HOTFIX: Fixed bags not being registered properly by escape van, making some heists impossible to complete
  • HOTFIX 2: Fixed being unable to throw body bags [as of 5:22pm PST]

— CHANGELOG

  • The interaction for security boxes in The Ozela heist now uses a special screen rather than the default interaction system (similar to keypad in The Ozela Heist)
  • Color codes in The Ozela Heist now come with a letter, to help with the accessibility of the puzzle (R = Red, G = Green, B = Blue, Y = Yellow)
  • Added a mute button to the preplanning screen, and added a new section for toggling whether you want to hear loud or stealth previews in the music preview tab on the preplanning screen
  • You can now mute the main menu music from both the lobby and preplanning screen, which disables the lobby music and preplanning music (good for streaming/recording). Pair this with the “off” selection in the preplanning music tab and you can now play notoriety with zero music!
  • Fixed a few sounds from the audio purge (detection, lock picking, etc.)
  • Fixed a bug where the Technician’s Carrier Pigeon aced skill would act strangely when interacting with body bags

VERSION 3.7E // MAR 26, 2022

— CHANGELOG

  • Chat now doesn’t interfere with UI. It’s position in the preplanning menu and in-heist has been updated.
  • Cameras, guards, and citizens now give more detailed reasons when they are caught. The “caught” messages have also changed to be more precise. They also include the player who was responsible for the reason of being caught.
  • The “caught” message is sent in the chat when the game goes loud. This way you can check your chat history if you miss the prompt when you are caught
  • Two public commands are available when you are caught: /caught info sends the reason you were caught, the entity that caught you (if possible), and the current state of the entity that caught you (if possible) to chat. Also highlights the entity that caught you (if possible) in green in the world, so you know what went wrong. Useful if you are confused how you got caught, and can be used to help in bug reporting. /caught hide hides the highlighted entity from the info command.
  • Found and restored 3 soundtracks from legacy Notoriety: Siren 2015, Downtown 2015, and Watchdog 2015

  • There’s a new bonus challenge in the Challenges menu, check it out!

General

  • Detection UI changed. Now citizens, guards, and cameras will show a circular progress bar to show how close they are to detecting you. Especially useful in multiplayer to see how close other heisters are to getting caught
  • Citizens will now rotate their heads up to 90 degrees instead of physically moving towards the cause of suspicion when spotting suspicious activity
  • Added new sound effects for various interactions
  • Menu loading screen now shows what’s loading instead of a number (“Loading… 2/17” → “Loading data…”)

Balance

  • SAWs paired with the “Oppressor” skill will now have significantly more concealment
  • Honey Badger will now benefit from skills that involve silencers
  • Shotguns now suffer from damage falloff. Targets will take less damage from afar with shotguns
  • ECM jammers now stop cameras from working while active

Golden Mask Casino

  • Improved visual effects from C4 explosion
  • BFD now shows how much water is in each tank
  • BFD now requires power (plugging into and defending power boxes)
  • BFD now makes noise when drilling
  • Brick_man no longer wanders around the map and now goes outside when the objective is to get the keycard
  • metal detectors now “blame” who touched them
  • Fixed the lift misbehaving when lowering it onto bodies or bags

Ozela Heist

  • Fixed a bug where the manager + usb sequence would leave objective markers on the screen after being taken care of

— CHANGELOG

  • Added mutators! If you are over level 100, you can host and join mutated lobbies, which can be customized from the contract creation screen.
  • Added mutated XP, mutated levels, which will be displayed after completing your first mutated heist
  • Added mutation points, which can be earned every 10 mutation levels, and can be used to purchase new mutators. You get your first mutation point at level 100.
  • Attempted to fix some issues with universal lobbies starting
  • Titles are no longer displayed in the lobby chat, but can still be seen everywhere else
  • Added “Mutant” badge for purchasing your first mutation
  • Fixed April Fools references being left in Art Gallery

  • Changed all highlights to use the Roblox highlight class rather than our old hacky custom highlights
  • Added equipment highlights that convey status information, such as what mode a trip mine is in or whether or not an ammo bag has ammo left
  • Added bag highlights which show the position of bags on the map. Should help you track them down when police steal them
  • Fixed random “hair” floating from highlights

  • Fixed BrickTech cameras not calling the police
  • Fixed criminal NPCs breaking if they are downed while reviving another criminal
  • Highlights now also apply to drills, hostage trades, and downed criminals
  • Highlights now work on bags in the Transport missions from the start
  • Flashbangs are now thrown by police instead of spawning under your feet
  • Your arm now shows what suit skin you are wearing
  • Fixed pager time not being disabled when answering it when guards are in a cuffed state
  • You now need to answer the pager first before being able to move a guard (on harder difficulties)

  • The playable character now has skin color and gender based on your Roblox avatar
  • Gloves will change depending on your suit skin
  • Civilians will now pick up their phones and play animations and sounds when calling the police
  • New Dialog UI with 3 slots depending on dialog type (Heist-related, Pager, Assault-related)
  • Pager Operator now has dialog, with unique lines warning when you have no pagers left
  • New “Breakout” Anticipation, Control and Assault tracks (previous one was content deleted)
  • New suppressor sounds based on your weapon type (Pistol, Assault Rifle, etc.)
