Provisional Game Rules List
Please note these rules are no longer being maintained - if this document is still in use, make sure to double check with Executives if needed
This covers all provisional game rules as enforced by all ingame Nova moderators, including the Nova Overwatch Unit and any divisional HRs with mod commands, in lieu of an official game rules list.
Specific divisions are allowed further rules for their games - this merely acts as the bare minimum.
You can assume that as moderators you may enforce the entirety of Roblox TOS and the Community Rules.
This includes things such as:
- exploiting
- bullying
- chat filter bypass
- spamming
- discussing NSFW
etc
You may also punish for glitching (i.e. misusing bugs in game code to gain an advantage).
In NSTF and NSAC, no-clip glitching is allowed provided there is not currently an event.
You are able to use your own judgement on other things you feel should be disallowed, but err on the side of caution.
Bans are not required to be logged in any form, although the incident itself should be logged if you are in the Nova Overwatch Unit.
Please note that we do not give refunds on various gamepasses/donations to rule breakers who end up being banned. Given that bans would usually be given for severe offences or after repeated warnings, the lack of a public rulebook is not an excuse.
You may not remove ingame cash/points/ticks as a form of punishment.
Nova Commanders reserve the right to remove ticks for rulebreakers as they see fit, after reaching an agreement.
Suggested Punishments
For the most common offences
Exploiting - Instant ban (will be gamebanned asap)
Spamming - Verbal warn → mute.
Bypassing chat filter - Verbal warn → mute
Bullying - Verbal warn → Temporary/server ban
Misusing loadouts - Verbal warn → remove tools → kick → server ban if necessary.
Divisions are allowed to have their own Stage 1/local blacklists. To request a Stage 2/3 blacklist (i.e. covers all of Nova), please ask a Nova Commander+.
Appeals
- All blacklist appeals must go through the Nova Commanders+ unless they are Stage 1 for divisions other than NS.
- Moderators may unban if given approval by NOU Supervisor, Nova Commander or a Division Executive, whichever best corresponds to the game/server. They may also unban if the ban was given in error, or in any other common sense scenario.
- An appeal server is currently being created by the HoNOU.
