Nova Security Trainer Assistant Guidelines
During Training Sessions, Security Trainers may choose 1-4 assistants (TAs) to help them during the session. Here are some rules around the TA role.
- The TA role is restricted to [MR] Special Officers and above.
- Training Assistants may or may not be chosen at all.
- A Security Trainer may have a maximum of 4 TAs (for only the largest attendance).
Responsibilities:
- You are to remain in the lobby, answering a trainee’s questions/enforcing lobby rules unless the Security Trainer asks you to help them with an event.
- Assure all trainees are properly in line and have a valid NS uniform.
- You are permitted to kill a trainee if they are caught running out of training lines.
- You may be asked to use your baton to team a group of players to the “winning” team or any other team.
- If PTS is enabled, you may answer a trainee’s question if they say “PTS”. If not, remind them that PTS is enabled. If PTS is not enabled, you should try your best to answer any questions trainees have.
- Do not be rude to any trainees. You are a higher rank in the group; please set an example!
- Remain professional and do not abuse your powers during a training session.
- If you have to leave the game, notify your trainer.
Equipment:
- TAs will be given the tools necessary to perform during the training session.
- TAs are given temporary moderator abilities such as the ability to ;strike.
- Abuse of TA powers will result in automatic demotion.
Strikes (NSET+):
Strikes may be given by NSET TAs to trainees who break minor rules, including:
- Repeatedly getting out of line.
- Running around the training room.
- Not listening to trainers’ instructions.
All major rule-breaking will be dealt with by the attending trainer. If you notice something the host didn’t, ;pm them about it. Strike command: ;strike Once 3 strikes have been reached by a player, a notification will be sent to the admins to server ban the player. If you are unsure of whether to strike someone or not, ask your trainer.
Communication with the host:
- Will usually be done through PM-ed instructions.
- If you need to communicate with the host, use the ;pm command: ;pm
- If you need to leave during the training session, let the host know.
Please ask your trainer or another High Rank if you have any questions regarding these rules.
