On the new items page, there is no way to see how many items you have. At first I thought this was a feature, because that seems to be the trend, but you can’t see the number sold even on items you own, which made me think it was a bug.
Yeah, honestly, I don’t know why we can’t see sales on EVERYTHING! Even if you don’t own a hat, it is still a very important thing to know how many sales it has. I cannot believe they thought they could leave out sales
Thats my only complaint about the new webpage
They NEED to show the number of items sold. Recently I completed a small project that I released as a model and I want to be able to keep track of its popularity and number sold over time without going to MY own transactions and counting one by one!
Going to bump this
have the staff mentioned anything about this? I’d really love to see Sales come back.
I’m very thankful they removed sales. It stops anyone and everyone going onto things like gamepasses and calculating how much exactly Devs are making from their gamepasses.
It should stay the way it is, forever.
Well, I must admit I did that a lot… and still do - sales aren’t gone, just aren’t visible. You can use the marketplace web API to get how many sales an asset has. I see you’ve made a lot of robux from your gamepasses
A solution - hats should always show sales, so should models/decals/sounds/plugins/etc. Gamepasses, however, should only show sales to the developer.
I noticed steam doesn’t show you sales. You use the product’s review and marketing to determine if you want to buy it or not. I really like steam’s “Recent rating” though.
I still think things like hats and models should display sales. Especially hats.
Edit: and the developer should always be able to see exactly how many sales each of their gamepasses have.
Why do you care how many sales a hat has unless it’s limited? If it isn’t limited, it can be bought for presumably forever so an infinite number shouldn’t matter
?
I had forgot about the develop page showing that.
Also - even limiteds don’t show sales. That’s why I suggested hats should show sales. Nobody cares how many sales non-limiteds have, really. Why not show sales for both, though?
I like watching the sales on non-limiteds like Headless Horseman.
Many people choose to buy something before it goes offsale based on its sale count. Nobody wants to go to the develop page (which has no search option) to go through possibly thousands of assets to find the one item they want to know the sales for.
Why? It’s a lot easier You click Develop->your game->Game Passes, and there you get to see the sales (& 7 day sales) of all of your game passes on a single page. It doesn’t make sense for a developer to have to go to the user-facing page to view stats regarding their product, and navigate to a different page for every product.
The develop page has come a long way since it’s release, I think people weren’t adopting the newer way of doing things purely because it isn’t how they did it before.
Although, developer products are missing from this page. That needs addressing.
Clothing. People make lots of clothing and there’s no search option.
I see where Ripull is coming from but there’s always going to be the marketplace API.
Cant you just paste in a url code that shows all the data including sales in JSON? It might even be possible through roblox functions. The way it is now is very dumb, why do I have to jump through hoops to find out how much IM making on a specific gamepass?
Edit: http://api.roblox.com/Marketplace/ProductInfo?assetId=183588838
That shows how much you made on one gamepass ripull, what your gamepasses make is still no secret
ROBLOX-made items should definitely display this information. UGC I’m indifferent on.
