Obby Worlds (Game)

What is Obby Worlds?

Obby Worlds is a game were players can play several different obbies in multiple difficulties such as Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty more coming soon btw! I have been working on this project for almost 2 years now and tons of progress has been made, our game has a Economy system (no trading), Several maps made by other players and more!

What will I be adding in the future?

  • 3 new Difficulties such as Hardcore, Insane and Color difficulties
  • Expansion to the lobby to support the new difficulties
  • Custom R6 Emotes (Sit, Happy, Dance etc…)
  • More stuff to the shop like Coils and special tools for certain maps
  • Boombox gamepass (will be around 150-250 robux) Wont add until I add in Mute button and a way to prevent loud audios
  • Codes (can give coins and maybe a special item for your inventory)
  • Suggestions box (Maby) to get suggestions from players within game
  • More Obbies (either made by me or players in the community)
  • A game trailer
  • and More!

The general idea of it seems pretty cool to have! Although there are some things that I would recommend changing just for the audience’s perspective:

  • Ok here’s the major thing; check all of your scripts by searching getfenv, getmenv, or any suspicious lines of codes cause this is 1 major flaw that will really ruin the game’s reputation

Now the other things

  • There should be specific music for every area that you go into; having just 1 entire sound play kinda gets boring after a while

  • Some of the maps are pretty basic, might wanna consider adding some more detail to it

    • There was literally an easy map that was just 10 huge red balls to jump on, and that was it

  • It would be nice to expose the UI Frames of the item prices a bit better; I wasn’t even aware of those prices until I purchased the Cheeseburger

  • Lobby is ok, but it seems a bit bland (Maybe add some decorations along the lines)

Overall, if the general concept is mainly focusing on just simple obby-like Levels (Like the Easy ones) then the game’s not really that special

You need to implement some kind of unique variety, something that stands out more from what other/most obby games do

But yeah that’s all from me thanks for listening to my ted talk

I removed all Viruses you can rejoin and check!

Just tried out the game, and it’s pretty good! Here are some of my suggestions:

  • Make it so players don’t get a win by repeating obbies, but only when they complete a new obby to encourage the player to try all the obbies. Still give them currency for any obby they repeat, but not wins.
  • Make it so the player teleports to the difficulty area in the lobby they came from whenever they beat an obby instead of spawn, jut for convenience.

Overall, it’s pretty fun. Keep up the good work.

Overall, this game works smoothly and the concept seems fun. But here is some constructive feedback:

  • You need to learn how to make better UIs. There is something about them that just doesn’t look good to me. The “Game Shop” UI is just a mess. You should play more popular games and observe how their UIs are set up.

  • Thumbnails & game icon. From what I can tell, you made them a while ago. Update them, please. Take screenshots of the game in Studio, rather than in-game. Also, some thumbnails don’t fit the dimensions. For reference, the dimensions are 1920x1080. One last thing, whoever made the GFX had WAY too much glare going.

  • I don’t recommend doing this for NPCs.

It’s not appealing, at least not to me. I would get rid of that altogether, instead change the character’s username in Properties to “Click me to open shop!” or something like that. You would just click on the NPC, go to Humanoid, listed underneath, then open Properties and replace the name(in this case, KingDestroyer_4) with your message. Even fancier, you could hide the username altogether and use a BillboardGUI, but it’s more complicated.

  • This is the last thing I want to address. Some levels don’t fit the style of the other ones. I’m assuming this is because you have multiple people making levels. The first level, I believe, is a pretty well-designed forest map. Then there is a level called “Lava Balls” that is literally a few red ball parts mashed together. You’ve got to make sure that all the levels are consistent in terms of style. Let your builders know what kind of stuff you’re looking for.

That’s all I wanted to talk about, hope you take this feedback seriously and listen to what I say. Peace! :v:

Thanks for the Feedback!

Is there a good free paint/editing software that’s simple and easy to use?
