OBJ Textures not loading properly?

I’m trying to export this mesh from blender (as .obj) and importing to ROBLOX, and it imports to studio fine however textures on the muffin/mesh isn’t showing properly / the same as it is in blender.

Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions.

I’ve had a lot of problems with importing textures with meshes, but I found that you can import coloured meshes (without texture) if you use the vertex paint tool (located in the dropdown menu which is set to object mode by default). You can use the brush tool or press shift + k to colour the entire mesh.

Hope this helps.

I’m going to keep looking for a way to use my textures I currently have, but thanks for the suggestion!

You need to do UV wrapping in blender as the texture doesn’t know where to go.

Okay, I’ll try figure that out, do you know how or if OBJs export with materials on them? I can’t seem to export a reflective material with another mesh.

Thanks!

.obj files are only mesh files, the material file depending on your 3d software and your configurations will be a .mtl file.

What I usually do is UV unwrap, create a texture in photoshop with the UV layout and upload that texture as a decal. Then, after importing the UV unwrapped mesh, I enter the decal ID as the texture. I hope this will be helpful.
