Reproduction Steps
Click the plus symbol which used to open a nicely sized dropdown of instances.
This has only happened to me in MacOS Ventura
Expected Behavior
I expect there to be a reasonably sized dropdown which goes over the existing studio window instead of increasing the time it takes to add an instance tenfold.
Actual Behavior
You are met with a stupidly large, full screen separate window.
Issue Area: Studio
Issue Type: Display
Impact: High
Frequency: Constantly

Have you tried click the button on the top right?
Maybe that might fix it!

Yes, then it’s no longer a full screen window but the setting doesn’t save so its practically useless.

Happens to me, studio keeps crashing when trying to insert object…
Also crashes when I try to close studio too which is annoying…
Probably related to this, temporary fix is to change rendering to openGL.
While experimenting with graphics modes, I found out that Direct3D11 is having issues. Swapping your graphics mode to anything else (recommend Vulkan since it looks visually the same as Direct3D11) and it should work just fine.
Thanks to @PoshKiwi and @ElephantMesh for taking the time to help out. Big preesh!
Edit: To change your graphics mode, you must go to File > Studio Settings > Rendering > Graphics Mode and change it from there. Thanks to @A_Mp5GroupHolder2 for mentioning this as I forgo…
Thanks for the report! We’ll follow up when we have an update for you.

Hey everyone - this was a bug back when docking was first rolled out. Huge thanks for the report. Cannot reproduce today, so going to close it out.
