Spent a few hours working on this to see how far I could push it. This runs pretty well with all things considered, yet still has quite of a bit of room for optimization and polish. That aside, it’s terrible to do the displacement via cpu (with bones on top of that) and so is the inability to properly achieve effects such as scattering or seafoam. I had to put a neon brick under a very transparent glass plane to get a rough approximation of what the water should look like, but apparent by the buoy, this makes the waterline nearly invisible. Important things such as custom shaders should be absolute top priority, it’s getting pretty ridiculous with more and more people waking up to the lack of potential.
