Informative Sections
The sections below are categorized into important subsections that we believe are the most commonly requested pieces of information.

Hiring

Introduction
Bambou is always looking for new additions to our team. We strive off of our player base, and are always interested in bringing in dedicated people to serve within our game! If this sounds like you, this is the right place for you!

Becoming a Trainee
In order to become a Trainee at Bambou, you must apply using the Application Center. The interviewer will ask you ten questions regarding your knowledge with Bambou and whether you are capable of moving one step forward on the rank list. If you pass the interview with 7 or more answers correct, you will be automatically ranked to Trainee.

Becoming a Staff Intern
Employment offers are only extended via our communication platform, which may have its own rules regarding usage. Users are personally responsible to follow these rules.

Joining our staff team as an intern is one step above working as a server or chef. If our recruitment department determines that you are a good addition to the upper staff team, then you may be eligible for the position of Staff Intern. In order to get recognized for this position, you must work hard and show that you are ready for the job. By demonstrating leadership skills and contributing to a friendly environment at our game, you have the opportunity to be noticed by our recruitment department. Once recognized, you will be contacted by one of our officers with follow-up steps on how to proceed.

For more specific information on how to become a Staff Intern, please refer to this document.

Promotions

Introduction
Moving up the ranks is one of the largest incentives for working at Bambou. The rewarding sense of accomplishment that our players receive, and the constant change in responsibilities to keep things fun, is what drives our community. This section is categorized by the rank you are being promoted to.

Server
In order to get promoted from Trainee to Server, you must attend a training session at our training center. This session will teach you all you need to know in order to proceed forward and work at our restaurant. If you successfully complete the session and our staff members believe you have received all of the knowledge needed to move on, you will be ranked up to Server and will be able to work within the premises of the restaurant!

Hibachi Chef - Shift Leader
In order to get promoted to Hibachi Chef or Shift Leader, you must be recognized for hard work and excellent performance at our restaurant. Unlike Staff Intern, these promotions are quite lenient and are not held to very strict standards. If you can show that you are passionate about what you are doing and wish to move up the ranks, you will be recognized by a member of our upper staff team and promoted!

Code of Conduct

Introduction
While we do not want to restrict our player base from certain freedoms, there are moments where we need to step in to ensure the safety of our players and maintain the positive environment we strive for within our games. By making these rules publicly defined in one place, the Code of Conduct creates transparency between our players and staff. These rules are quite easy to abide by, so please familiarize yourself with them.

Moderation Actions
Players who do not abide by the rules listed below, may be subject to consequence. Here at Bambou, we want to familiarize our community with our rules, therefore, we do give one warning to all players before proceeding with any punishments. If a player continues with any unruly behavior, it is assumed that their intentions are on purpose and our staff will not bother with further warnings.

Depending on the severity of the action, you may get kicked or banned from the server. Specific cases may be subject to a permanent ban across all of our games. If you believe you were falsely punished, please let us know and we may correct it for you.

Bambou Rules and Guidelines

  • Roblox Community Rules
Bambou enforces all violations of the Roblox Community Rules. If you are caught violating any of the Roblox Community Rules, you are subject to consequence at Bambou affiliated games, as well as action against your Roblox account.

  • Exploiting
Exploiting is strictly prohibited at all Bambou games. Any use of a third-party script executor in order to manipulate aspects of the game, with malice intent, is subject to a permanent ban from all games.

  • Trolling
The act of bothering somebody or sending offensive messages, in order to get attention, ruin the experience of others, or cause trouble and upset someone—is not allowed. Our mission is to create a safe and respectful environment for our players. Intentionally trying to ruin the experience of others goes against this, and is not behavior that we welcome at our game.

Culture

Introduction
The culture that we push here at Bambou is important to recognize and follow. We want our game to be enjoyable for all kinds of people, and for nobody to be left out. Please familiarize yourself with the kind of environment we want our community to contribute towards!

Bambou Culture

  • Leniency
While we want to make sure our staff members are capable of their position and all players follow the rules, Bambou encourages all staff members to not overstep their boundaries and give players the space and freedom to voice their opinion and disagree without repercussion. Staff members should be open to discussion and shall approach situations with an open-minded and helpful perspective. Intimidation tactics are not welcome at Bambou. We have players of all ages and backgrounds within our games, and standards shall vary on a case-by-case basis.

  • Communication
In order to avoid any miscommunication or conflicts between players and staff, we strongly recommend being clear and concise with your messages when communicating. Bambou encourages using simple vocabulary that is universally understood by players of all ages and backgrounds. Using larger synonyms of basic words in order to seem more professional is not recommended and will hurt your chances of moving forward. Staff members should put thought into their responses and not provide vague answers or reactions to questions such as “.” and “-”.

  • Voicing Concerns
Bambou encourages all of its current and former members of the community to come forward with any problems or concerns that they may have. We have an open-door policy, allowing you to message any members of our leadership team at any time with group concerns. We ask that you are mature and professional when going about voicing your concerns with the group. Going into our communication server, games, or the group wall with negatively implied remarks about the group falls under this clause. We want to promote a positive environment within all areas of our community, and direct OR implied negativity is not welcomed.

Affiliate Information

Information
Groups listed under the affiliates tab of the group are other Roblox groups that Bambou has partnered with and mutually provides support for. We believe Bambou can benefit from and towards our partners, and can mix both communities together to allow our player bases to interact.

Affiliate Mission Statement
Our mission statement behind why Bambou forms partnerships is important to acknowledge if you are partnered or considering a partnership with us. As an affiliate representative, you must familiarize yourself with this statement and agree to it. If any partner decides that they are not comfortable with our core values towards affiliates, then the partnership may be disbanded.

Bambou, and all of its affiliates, agree to mutually benefit each other by spreading publicity of major events and information. Both parties shall not attempt to control or dictate the policies and procedures, and must respect the boundaries of power and decisions between both groups. Affiliates agree not to overstep their boundaries and involve themselves in decisions regarding Bambou unless personally impacted by said decision. Both groups shall support each other, promote a positive environment towards each group, and be transparent with each other. Those given the role of affiliate representative within our communication platform and games must respect the Code of Conduct and will not be given exemptions.

Rank Descriptions

Customer
The customer is the most important rank in Bambou. Without the large bulk of our community that gives everybody else a reason to play our games, our group would not be where it is today. Customers are the lowest rank in the group and are players that may be served by our servers or socialize with other players.

Noted Customer
Noted Customers are customers that have contributed to Bambou or are a recognized user of importance within the community. This rank is typically given out to former staff members who have contributed greatly to the group, or important figures within our community. You cannot be promoted to this rank or apply for it.

Affiliate Representative
Affiliate Representatives are not staff members and have no different powers from a customer. This rank is used to display partnered representatives at our games.

Trainee
Trainees are newly-hired employees that may not work at the restaurant just yet. They have successfully passed their application and will stay this rank until they successfully complete a training session and are ranked up to Server.

Server
A server is the first rank that is able to work at the restaurant and serve our customers. Servers are in the process of learning the basics of working and adjusting to the new responsibility. As a server, you are eligible to be promoted to Hibachi Chef if you are recognized for your hard work. You may not work in the Hibachi Station, and are limited to table service or the bar.

Hibachi Chef
As a Hibachi Chef, you have mastered the art of cooking! You are now able to work at the hibachi station and cook right in front of customers, as well as keep all of the old duties of table and bar service that you previously had. You are eligible to be promoted to Shift Leader if you are recognized for your hard work.

Shift Leader
As a Shift Leader, you have done it all. You have the experience necessary to be a potential candidate for Staff Intern, and you are able to be a helpful figure to new hired employees that are still learning. Shift Leaders do not have any direct authority over other ranks but are able to answer questions and work as they previously did. You are eligible to be offered a promotion to Staff Intern if you are recognized for your hard work.

Staff Intern
Staff Intern is the gateway to our staff team. As an intern, you are learning the ropes of being apart of our upper staff team and a role model for our player base. You will learn many new things as a staff intern and assist other staff members in their responsibilities. You may be promoted to Supervisor after one week if it is determined that you are a good candidate for the staff team.

Supervisor
A Supervisor is the first rank that can officially moderate the game. Supervisors are tasked with answering questions, promoting a positive environment, enforcing the Code of Conduct, and assisting in sessions.

Assistant Manager
Assistant Managers are an experienced staff member who is now able to contribute even further to the community. Assistant Managers are tasked with supervising the game, hosting sessions, and promoting low ranked employees within the restaurant.

Manager
A manager is the final middle rank in our staff team. Tasked with everything Assistant Managers can do, although they have no direct authority, Managers are a role model for the ranks below them and are able to serve as a leader who can answer questions. Managers are able to apply for departments and continue their ventures in the staff team as an Executive Assistant, if accepted.

Executive Assistant
Executive Assistants are the first addition to the high rank team. They will assist other members of this department and ensure the group is running efficiently. Additionally, they have further privileges at our games and are able to mediate difficult situations if needed.

As key members of the leadership team, VPs possess extensive administrative privileges over the staff team. They oversee departmental decisions, including hiring and policy changes, to align their department’s goals with the overall objectives of the organization.

Senior Vice President
The Senior Vice President provides strategic oversight for multiple departments, ensuring smooth operations across the organization. SVPs collaborate closely with Vice Presidents to implement policies and initiatives, promoting cohesion and efficiency. The role involves focusing on the bigger picture, strategically planning for the company’s long-term future and addressing broad, overarching issues to ensure sustainable growth and success. This role involves more behind-the-scenes, big-picture work rather than hands-on tasks, concentrating on guiding the overall direction and vision of the company.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • The front desk is full. What do I do?
We do not recommend standing right outside of the desk and waiting for an availability as it creates clutter and looks out of order. If this is the case, we encourage you go to work at the hibachi station or the bar for the meantime.

  • Somebody is breaking the rules and there are no staff members online. What do I do?
You can attempt to contact a staff member by messaging them on our communication server, messaging them on the Roblox website, or posting on the group wall. Make sure you also use the “Report Abuse” button and submit an official report to Roblox if their behavior violates Roblox Community Rules.

  • May I purchase a high rank? May I buy the group? May I get admin?
    No.

  • May I become a Developer for Bambou?
Employment offers under our development team do not happen often. If we are searching for game developers, an announcement with further information will be posted in our communication server.

  • I have found a bug in the game. Where do I report it?
Please message the owner of the group via Roblox private messages with precise information about the game bug and replication steps if possible.

  • How do I give items to customers?
If you are using a keyboard, you may press the ‘h’ key and then type the name of the player that you are giving the item to. If you are on mobile and cannot press a key, you may type “!give (username)” and it will give an item to that player.

  • How do I join the training center without getting kicked?
Training sessions are hosted at specific times listed within the game description as well as this handbook. The game will remain locked until staff members arrive at the game and unlock it. Typically, this is done 5 to 15 minutes before the times listed. Please try to join within those times in order to get into the game. You should not join at the exact times listed as the server will be locked by then.

  • I have a complaint. Who do I go to?
The voices and concerns of our player base are of the utmost importance to our team. If you have an issue that you wish to address, please let a staff member know in game, or join our communication platform (13+) and send a direct message to a staff member so they may direct you to the right area.

Appeals

Introduction

If you believe you qualify to appeal one of your punishments, please fill out the respective appeal form and submit it to the correct personnel listed under each appeal. Please note that you cannot appeal a ban if you received a ban less than a week ago.
