Staff Program

FlyHero Staff Guide

This is were your career will take place. This guide will cover the basic low rank positions. These include:

  • Flight Student
  • Security
  • Ground Crew
  • Cabin Crew

Flight Student

To become a flight student, you must apply via the application form posted in our communication sever. Application result time varies, you will not be notified if you pass or not, it is your responsibility to keep up to date, to receive your staff roles, please run a!update in the #robotics channel. Flight Students will be trained on announced events. The common planekit you will face will be the Aviació, Vuela, and Sierra V2. To become a captain you must pass the Flight Student training flawlessly without trouble. If you fail the training but can manage assisting the captain, you will pass to First Officer.

Security

The process to become security is the same as flight student, you apply in the application form. You will be in charge of controlling the flow at the security check point. Our hubs utilize a scanner purchased from Light Tech, a group who specializes in airport technology and assets. Below will be a rundown and visuals to help you run the system without problem.

  1. Here is what the security scanner looks like. On the backside, you will see a panel that is labeled “Log-In” to move to the next step press the button.

  2. Here is the scanner panel. This will be the opening UI you will see once you click. To use the system, a player must come up, and in doing so, the UI will replace the blank area with the users statistics. From there you will choose to accept or deny. Once done with your shift you will click Log Off.

Please note that not all staff members will be able to access the UI, as it is set to the security rank and up.

  1. Once you have clicked log off you will be redirected to this screen. If the host does not want there to be security you can click Free Security and the players will be able to pass through without problem. If there is a shortage of security, and a large player number, you can open additional scanners, log off, and click Automatic Security. This will allow players will be “scanned” but will automatically accept/deny them in.

  2. To set up Automatic Security:
  • Minimum Rank - 1
  • Minimum Age - 120
  • Reject

And finally click Confirm.
Once the security checkpoint has completed, you will board the plane and will react if situations erupt on board.

Ground Crew

Once again, to join ground crew you must apply in the form. Ground crew has quite the number of tasks. When the plane arrives you must be first to connect the jetway to the plane. FlyHero uses the Nikoleta jetway, if you are familiar or not, you can view the controls by pressing Controls on the bottom.

Below are the steps you need to take:

  • Turn on the safety lights by pressing B.
  • Connect the Jetway (W+S to control the length, A+D to control the angle, left and right arrow to control the cab, E+Q to control the height.)
  • Lower the Hood by pressing the Upwards arrow key.
  • Open the cab doors by pressing F.
  • Turn on the interior lights by pressing L.
  • Turn off the safety lights by pressing B again.
  • Anchor the jetway by press P.

You can then jump out of the plane, and single the cabin crew to get ready for pre-flight.
You’re job does not stop there. You will be in charge of having to pushback, if there is a tug available. You will have to marshal the plane as they pushback. And you will have to operate the ground crew machinery (Prop Ground Crew Vehicles.) Once the plane is fully loaded you will need to disconnect the jetway.

  • Turn on the safety lights by pressing B.
  • Close the doors by pressing F
  • Reset the jetway by press R
  • Turn off the safety lights by pressing B.

Please keep the tarmac clean for pushback, and try to get the tasks finished on time to prevent customers from being unsatisfied. Unfortunately for ground crew, you will not board the plane at all what so ever. Instead you will be at the destination airport, and will be ready with the air-stairs to deplane the aircraft.

Below are references images that will help you better serve your position as ground crew.

  1. tug
Shown above is how you should set up the pushback tug. There should be about a 2 person gap between the main gear and the tow bar. Alongside the nose wheel, should be 2 cones places side by side.

  2. Although you will not be loading any physical, or in this case virtual, luggage you will still need to get the baggage loader and baggage truck set up for before boarding. This is to maximize realism and to give passengers the essence of the working force here at FlyHero. Behind the loader, you can see two cones in front of the engine, and 2 cones, one in the front, and one in the back of the rear gear. Please ensure that all cones are placed on the tarmac and are removed before pushback.

  3. jetway
This is the proper way the jetway should be connected to the aircraft. Remember to follow the procedure listed above to ensure that you are using the right keys to move the jetway.

Please note that if the plane has two doors, always connect to the second one. This will ensure that the jetway is not short, preventing possible issues with the system itself.

  1. In order to marshal please have the following tool in your inventory

“Handheld beacons”

default

Once equipped, the default position will look just as the picture shows.

Towards the bottom left corner is the control panel GUI. It will look like this.

Cabin Crew

As Cabin Crew you are on the frontlines when it comes to service. There will always be a cabin crew manager on board. They will instruct each available cabin crew member to a specific section. The manager will receive mod, and will grant temporary mod to each of the available members. The rest goes as follows.

When the safety audio plays in-game, you are required to demonstrate the features listed in the audio. The following are your cues and what to do when you hear them in-game.

  1. Seatbelt (“To fasten push the metal end into the buckle”)
    Open
Not right after you will show them the closed seatbelt.
    Closed

  2. Life Vest (“Life Vests are located below underneath your seat”)
    LifeVest

  3. Oxygen Masks (“In the case that the cabin loses pressure… oxygens masks will fall…”)
    OxygenMask

Assigned to First Class

If you have been assigned to first class the first step you need to do is open all of the curtains in the respected cabin. Please open all of the suite doors before passengers board. First Class will always receive Pre-Flight service. Prior to, please have the following in your inventory.

Food Cart
Tray of Hot Towels and Nuts

Once the passengers have seated, you will give each First Class passenger the menu.

/e :give [player] First Class Menu

Please make sure to use /e when inserting the command, this is so that passengers do not see the command, which helps the game feel more realistic. To make sure you do not give the passenger the wrong item, please run

/e :tools

Please do not click “spawn” as it will give you the item, this is so that you have the tool-list on hand and can give the tools without issue.

Please use :pm when it comes to communicating with passengers. This reduces chat-lag and will give an overall better experience.

/e :pm [player] Greetings! Welcome aboard this FlyHero trip to [Destination] What may I get for you? If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask.

Once the player responds back, examine the username carefully and run

/e :give [player] [item]

You will respond back to the passenger with the following

/e :pm [player] Sure thing! Enjoy! Do you have any other questions or require any assistance?

If the player responds back with No thank you, you can run the following

/e :pm [player] No problem. If you have any questions, concerns, or worries, don’t feel afraid to ask one of our crew members! Thank you for choosing FlyHero.

Assigned to Business Class

The same as First Class except they will not get pre-flight, meaning they will not be given the option of a hot towel or nuts. The service will follow just as First Class would.

Assigned to Economy

The biggest difference here, is that you will not run “/e :give [player] First Class Menu”
Instead you will run

/e :give [player] Economy Menu

Just like Business Class they will not receive Pre-Flight, meaning no Hot towels or nuts.

Assigned to Jump Seat

If you have been assigned to jump seat, no fret, you will still be able to serve at cruise. The biggest difference is that you will at the jump seat or near it 50% of the flight. You will be able to operate the tablet installed on all planes with the Sierra V2 planekit. The tablet will control the mood lighting, doors, and seatbelt sign. You’re job is to open and close the doors when it is appropriate, change the lighting throughout the flight, and to turn off and on the seatbelt sign before takeoff and cruise.

HR Training Guide

FlyHero HR Guide

This will cover how to properly host and announce sessions within the FlyHero Community.

Announcements

To Announce a session use the following prompt :

@FlightPing

Date: (MM DD, YY)
Time: (Time Server Unlocks)
Flight: FH(#) :fh:
Airport: (Hub)
Destination: (Destination Airport)
Equipment: (Plane being used)
Configuration: (Classes being used i.e First Class, Business Class)

Times
Staff Join: (Join Time for Staff; 30 minutes before flight start)
Server Unlock: (Time Flight Starts, Server is Unlocked)
Boarding: (Time we will be boarding the plane, server will be locked prior to time)

Services
Preflight: (No/Yes)
Drink Service: (No/Yes)
Project Legacy: (No/Yes)
Meal Service: (No/Yes)
Guest Services: (No/Yes)

Please note that the this flight is not intended for low-end devices. If your device is prone to lag, it is recommended you turn your graphics to the minimum setting.

The values marked with “()” are what you edit.
Post the announcements 2-3 days prior to the event.

Flights

First things first, always set the overhead message once you join the game.

The message should follow the prompt :

FH(Flight Number) // (Origin Airport Code) - (Destination Airport Code) // (Plane being used) // (Message from host)

For the host message, please keep it minimal, for holiday seasons something along the lines of “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays” would be acceptable.

Once the message has been set, set the in game music.

When selecting music, keep it simple and clean.

Nothing with vulgar language or loud tags.

A simple rule of thumb is, don’t play anything you wouldn’t play in front of your family.

Uniforms

To access the staff room, type

/staffroom

The command is staff locked preventing passengers from teleporting to the staffroom.

The staff room is used for uniforms, briefing, debriefing, and a general holding area for staff prior to the flight.

Once you enter through the uniform door, you will be welcomed with 3 different uniform stalls, each of which have the same uniform GUI.

Just as the text states, clicking it will prompt you with the GUI.

gui

For HR, click supervisor male if you are a male character, and female if you are a female character, do keep in mind that having no package is recommended but no required.

Depending on staff size, and availability, you might need to put people in multiple job positions.

Administration, Human Resources, and Executives, will work Project Legacy regardless.

But, depending on size, may need to work other positions as stated above.

General Flight Operation

Once the game has been open past it’s start time, and the game has at least 1 passenger, you may begin the flight.

To spawn a plane type :

:spawn

FlyHero uses Lolee’s plane system for it’s aircraft.

When spawning a plane please make sure the following are correct

  • The plane is spawned after the server is locked, not before this is to prevent people from viewing a deformed plane, a bug that is caused after a plane is spawned and a player joins.

  • The plane is spawned from above and not ground level

  • The plane spawned shows no deformity

Once you spawn the plane, bring the captain and the first officer to the plane using the “:bring” command.

From there, the pilots, will take over and taxi towards the gate, or stall depending on the flight.

Have ground crew on the tarmac and allow them to marshal the plane in, if short staffed, you can assist them in connecting the jetway, placing cones, and etc.

Once the plane is connected to the jetway, allow cabin to board and prepare for boarding.

Once the plane is all sealed, and ready to pushback, set the jumppower to 0

Have everyone who is currently up, to return to their seats, especially staff.

Once pushback has begun play the safety audio using the audio code

:music 7229365877

Once the audio finishes swap it out for background music or set music to 0.

Cruise

Once the plane has evened out and the plane has been set to cruise mode, signal the flight attendants to begin service.

Set everyone’s jumppower to 50

While food/drink service is in progress, the host may begin side entertainment, such as Trivia or Q&A.

Once the service ends, make sure that the jumppower is set back to 0

Have everyone who is currently up, to return to their seats, especially staff.

Signal ground crew in destination airport to be ready for arrival.

Arrival

Once the plane touches down, signal ground crew to begin preparing for the aircraft

Once the plane is parked at the stall, and the stairway has been connected, you can set the jumppower to 50 and announce to disembark.

Once everyone disembarks, depending on the airport, and what’s inside of the destination, you may have to do a photoshoot right away, since some airports might not have interactive destination.

Photoshoot

There are many ways to take the photo, each photo however, must include the following

  • Plane used in the back\

  • Everyone holding the FlyHero flag

  • Everyone saying “FLYHERO #1

To post for the picture, you can do one of the following

  • Horizontal angle

  • Wedge

  • Horizontal Straight

Once the photo is taken, you announce your final remarks, and shutdown the server.

Moderation

Administration and up are always in charge, if you see a problem in-game or in the communications server, please reach out to us. Administration + are allowed to host flights. Flights must be hosted and must be communicated amongst fellow staff members, to pick the more appropriate time for all. In the server you may face many challenges, exploitation, trolling, and glitching. All of which will result in some sort of punishment.

  • Exploiting will result in an immediate ban no strings attached.
  • Trolling will result in a warn. 3 warnings and you will be kicked. If you are kicked and you continue, you will be banned.
  • Glitching will result in a warn as well. 3 warnings and you will be kicked. If you are kicked and you continue, you will be banned.
