Although with no doubt I got many items wrong but I will say A for effort. I am looking for feedback on this monstrosity. I have no reasoning to why it was made but at the same time I got bored, spent a week researching refineries, it’s machinery as well as process, found diagrams of where all the pipes go to and the rest is history. Been working on this for a week not and debating to turn it into a Tycoon but at the same time I need to heavily optimize it because a ton of the elbows on the pipes are not… well… unioned. We are looking at 10K+ parts. It could be utilized as showcasing but I also have ADHD so it kind of took over at this point. I don’t want to lose motivation on it but I have been looking at refineries all over the United States to try to pick out what is what to familiarize myself with the layouts of refineries. I am sure I will make a chemical engineer cry at this but I did try my best and I am satisfied so far but far from done as I need to create walkable platforms, why? I don’t know.
I have memories of when I was younger, there was this Tycoon game on the platform around this oil refinery and the skyscraper was purely endless. I was so fond of it so it sorta serves as inspiration if I did turn it into a tycoon. I can’t code for the life of me either and only know the bare minimum so if I did a tycoon then it would be out of a kit sadly but in the end, this might end up just being a showcase build that will sit in my files for eternity when I run out of motivation.
What do you think? Thoughts on this build? I wish the distance that lights were rendered from were increased because seeing this at night is disappointing.
No, it’s not finished, been bouncing all around this working on different things and throwing things around and building around it to see how it turns out in the end. Thought I’d share progress.
