I’ve been noticing some of the “older” roblox audio has been failing to load.
For example, the classic “WindOfFjords” has broke/failed to load. This file is presumably an .IT file, so it looks like support for this file type was dropped at some point.
(It also won’t play on the website)
In other words, I have this music (Sound) in my game. And when i try to play the audio, i just simply get an error. This bug appears to always happen. And this bug also occurs on all platforms. This bug will also occur whether i am in studio or not.
Here is the error I received from the output:
Failed to load sound rbxassetid://1015394: unsupported file format
I’m not sure when this “actually” occurred, but this bug wasn’t a thing about a month or two ago.
(I don’t full on get how this error occurred, how can it be an unsupported file format (prob a .WAV or .IT), but still have some other older .WAV audios that still works)
(Also disappointing that roblox doesn’t support alot of the file formats anymore. Maybe Roblox should consider bringing some back :D)
